Great headset for the Price
Summary: I'm not a headset or headphone expert but these are definitely worth it to me. The main things I look for in a headset is comfort and a good mic so everyone can understand me easily. I use my headset daily mostly on teamspeak while playing games. In the past 2 years I've owned 4 different headsets. I started out by buying the older white turtle beach x11. Comfort wise they were amazing. The mic was pretty solid as well but they broke within the first few months.
Summary: As someone who has a gaming laptop, I decided it was time to get into gaming. I not only picked these headphones for the price, but for the style. These headphones are pretty great. They're comfortable and they sound amazing. They're mostly plastic, which is great for me because it added more durability than most headphones, like turtle beaches, so far. The only problems I found however is that it sometimes doesn't pick up the plug in microphone, or detect it.
Summary: I've used many many different headsets. One of my first purchases was the Creative Fatality headset several years ago. After I stood up wearing these after rolling my chair wheels over the cord, I ripped the plug from the wires and ultimately bought a new headset. I've tried different brands and paid far far more than these, only to find myself missing these. I ended up re-soldering that old headset, but eventually one of my dogs put these out of their misery.
Summary: These worked great for me while i was using them. Unfortunately my cat chewed through the very very then cord, he literally walked up, grab it and before I could stop him he had chewed through the wires. Going wireless from now, but for those that don't have cord chewing cats these will work great for gaming and communicating to others while gaming.
Summary: This product is great. For its price its exactly what I wanted. I use the headset for hardcore gaming, skyping, and watching movies on Netflix and the sound quality has been fine. The microphone works very well too and I've had no problems with it. It also seems very durable, I've had it for 5 months (handling it very roughly) and there doesn't appear to be any damage, overall it seems very durable.
Summary: Like: taking out the mic is a great feature. Great price. Great replacement to my old Logitech mic that I had forever Dislike: Some people complain about the heavy pressure sensation on top of your head. I felt it too. Would leave me with a headache. About 2 weeks in i barely feel it. I also don't like how in the warning pamphlet, it states that this is recognized by California state that it can give you cancer or cause birth defects.
Summary: The in-line controls being first, (because I think this is the only thing that has truly malfunctioned) the 'Volume Down' button works but the 'Volume Up' button no longer does...I think it pooped out about a year or so ago, but since I've had it for more than two years, it still lasted pretty long. But hey, I can still turn the volume up in my actual volume controls, so that's not huge.
Pros: First off, let me just say that I have put this headset through a beating and it is still going pretty strong. I've had this headset for over 2 years now actually (I think) and there are only a few things wrong with it (I'll get to those in the cons). The things that are still right with it are many.
Cons: Ok, so on to the things I didn't like, or stuff that has gone wrong.
Summary: Worked great for a few weeks, not even after a month of having it I started to hear static in the left ear, then the mic started to not pick up my voice anymore. Whenever I listened to my mics playback all I'd hear is crazy loud noise that sounds like a demonic ritual, every headset I buy is cursed.
