Reviews and Problems with Creative HS-1200 Digital Wireless

Not worth the money - easily break.

Summary: I have been gaming for a few years now and prefer Creative Labs as my choice for speakers / headsets. Unfortunately this headset is prone to breakage after a short period of time, battery life is also short and regular charging required - but on the positive the headset is light and comfortable to wear even after lengthy gaming sessions.
Summary: These headphones do work for me in Windows 7 and Ubuntu, but they aren't up to the standard that I would expect for the premium price: * As others have commented, the range isn't great. It's enough to walk around the room, and maybe to the next room, but after a few meters it will drop out. Think more "bluetooth headset" than "cordless phone". * The more severe problem is that the sound quality is very average.
Summary: I bought these to use for gaming as I was finding the cables from my wired headset were becoming a bit of a nuisance during gaming especially when using a steering wheel. While these do away with the wires they really are more trouble than they are worth. I'll just list the pros and cons rather than waffle on about this and that. Pros. Sound is quite good. Buttons on the side of the headset are useful. Will work for 5-6 hours on one charge. Cons.
Summary: I don't often write reviews, as I don't have the time, but since I paid 100 GBP for these (I live in Copenhagen), and given their performance, I thought I'd save anybody else from buying them. I tried to give 2.5 stars, but was unable to. I have a very small apartment, and I do mean small. If they are fully-charged, I can sometimes go into the kitchen 5 meters away from the living room and have connectivity. Sometime it breaks-up, and I have to return to the living room.
