Don't Bother

Jonathan R., Newegg
23 September 2010
  • Summary: Newegg was great with shipping time as usual. I guess I should have researched these more. I'm surprised to see so many people happy with them at 30 bucks because I feel cheated at 15. I'm not to upset though , I just gave them to my mom, she likes em, so it worked out in the end
  • Pros: -Was only 15 bucks with Newegg's awesome Guerilla Deal
  • Cons: -Feels very flimsy and cheaply made. -Very uncomfortable. Presses very hard against your head (against my head at least). -Very poor sound quality. Way too Bass-y.

Decent

Jordan E., Newegg
21 September 2010
  • Summary: Decent pair for someone on a budget would recommend!
  • Pros: Very good set of headphones. Good steal for $30.
  • Cons: Ear casing is a little small and it uncomfortable for long period of times. Noticed when I first got it that the sound seem to get louder and softer for no apparent reason.

Great Buy

Eugene K., Newegg
16 July 2010
  • Summary: I am using the headphones on two older HP d530 workstation that I fixed with the original sound. I loaded some older LPs, most old jazz, and listen on one computer while I work the stock market on the other. Wonderful sound.
  • Pros: For a special price of about $35, these headphones are great. The clarity is on par with headphones costing over $100.
  • Cons: None at this price point

  • Pros: clear sound comfortable loud weigh almost nothing cord is long enough for me to be able to spin my chair in a circle and not rip it out of the jack
  • Cons: price. i wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't a shellshocker, but otherwise worth it

Alright

Anonymous, Newegg
6 July 2010
  • Summary: Okay, so this thing takes awhile to burn in, I'd say around 60 hours of use. You won't have any good quality sound for awhile, so I just leave it on for 3 days straight.
  • Pros: Got them from at Shellshocker Deal, $30, can't be beat. Couldn't find any other headphones that could beat this around the price range. Honestly, sounds just as good as $50-$60 headphones. The sound is really crisp and clear for price. (After the burn in)
  • Cons: Like one reviewer stated, they are definitely DJ style headphones, but not DJ style quality. One thing I disliked about this headphone, is the lack of bass like many users stated, I am a bass addict, and this thing sounds "fair" when it comes to bass, but was able to fix it with an equalizer.

30 May 2010
  • Summary: You can't get a better set of headphones for $30, anywhere, period (I've tried & failed) . $50, look hard at a pair of sony in-ears, $90 sennheiser...
  • Pros: Comfortable, sound excelllent for the price, $29.99 on newegg shellshocker deal.
  • Cons: None at this price, however the power cord is short, the reversible earcups are kind of annoying, I have to fumble around with the headphones to put them on.

Not worth it

Colin B., Newegg
1 May 2010
  • Summary: There are better $30 headphones. Very disappointed. I have a equalizer preset just for these.
  • Pros: Folds up, light weight, adjustable, strong bass
  • Cons: Noticeably weak mids that blend with the lows, small padding that makes it uncomfortable for long sessions

Not bad.

Andrew H., Newegg
24 April 2010
  • Summary: For the price they're currently at (~$29), they're worth it. A better pair of $30 headphones you're hard pressed to find (though I'm sure it could be done). For $90 though, I'd steer clear.
  • Pros: Clear, crisp, good depth of sound. They're not bad headphones.
  • Cons: They're not GOOD headphones either. The bass response is a tad bit lower than I expect from good headphones. The worst part is though, that with really loud sound (especially loud sound with heavy bass) the headphones fuzz out. You hear an audible fuzz sound with the actual music you're trying to...

indianolafatcat

John H., Newegg
24 April 2010
  • Pros: These headphones have relatively good response and sound. Separation is good, although the bass is marginal.
  • Cons: These headphones are very cheaply made. Don't let the $89 dollar list price fool you. This product is no bargain at the offered price. I was very disappointed. The headphones are not very comfortable, and the plastic headband does not appear very durable. All in all, I would not recommend them.
