Like how it sounded.

  • Summary: Would probably purchase something else over this, only because of the pain it caused.
  • Pros: Great sound. Directional audio was excellent.
  • Cons: The foam that goes on top of your head is very thin. If I gamed too long my head would become sore and made wearing the headset uncomfortable.

Eh, Decent I guess

Brian R., Newegg

  • Pros: I used two pairs of these over the course of 2 years. Each one lasted exactly one year. The first one had the wire break (Through personal error - although the tension on it wasn't that great). The second one had the plastic on the headset break after about 8 months (Was still under warranty). I ...
  • Cons: Tech Support wasn't that great. They declined my rma even though the headset was otherwise kept in excellent condition. No longer a creative customer. Switched to the Logitch G930 Wireless set for about the same price, and am much more pleased. Have had that headset for over a year, have been qui...

Wonderful sound, okay quality

Branden C., Newegg

  • Pros: Directional sound quality is great. Super comfy ear cups. Adjustable. Cups rotate for flat(ish) packing
  • Cons: Plastic quality is a little low Where the wires meet the 3.5mm jacks is a little weak. Microphone doesn't lock anymore, it falls down to its bottom position (slightly below horizontal). This started happened 1.5 years after buying this.

Great set

Ben H., Newegg
16 October 2012
  • Summary: A very fine set, I would buy again. A tad delicate. Be careful with these, no roughhousing. :)
  • Pros: Fantastic feel. Most comfortable. They sound great, mic sounds very good. I can't say enough about the padding used for the ears. It is so soft and comfortable. I can wear these for hours and they never hurt. They fit perfect. Inline volume/mic mute worked for the 3 years I had these, unlike seve...
  • Cons: Beware of mic when a fan is blowing on you. Not usually a big deal, but the mic has holes all along it and fans blowing right on your face will make a horrid sound through the mic. The wire is thin, be careful not to pull on it. After 2 years of heavy use, I noticed stress cracks in the plastic s...

Very comfortable, good quality (for the most part)

Charles Y., Newegg
10 July 2012
  • Summary: I was very fond of this and found a good deal on an identical replacement which I've been using for about six months now. No complaints so far.
  • Pros: Very comfortable, great sound quality, detachable mic very convenient and great quality
  • Cons: Used extensively for almost two years, but after putting a bit too much stress (didn't think it was all that much) on the piece that fits over the head, the plastic between the head piece and the left earpiece cracked. Unable to superglue back into working condition.

User Review

18 May 2012
  • Summary: Over all strong product, not certain why it always put so much weight on my head when I wore it. Friends and myself never found a way to take the pressure off entirely, so I had to limit the sessions I could use the headset.
  • Pros: Excellent Sound Quality (both Microphone and Speakers) Comfortable on the ears, (see Cons section)
  • Cons: Heavy; This headset was extremely uncomfortable the first few months I owned it, despite numerous length changes and added padding. Perhaps its the shape of my head, but the weight of the headset was always focused on the center of my head and was the source of frequent headaches. I eventually go...

  • Pros: VERY comfortable, I can keep these on all day and have no problems other than sweaty ears. The sound quality is great, especially at the 39.99 I paid for them
  • Cons: Detachable mic is a bit flimsy feeling, doesn't seem like it will hold up well over time. Cord suffers from this as well, nothing serious but still worth an egg for cheap construction.

Almost, Creative. Almost.

Trevor G., Newegg
11 February 2012
  • Summary: As stated above, I have both this headset and the matching Fatal1ty sound card. Silencer does nothing it seems and the mic is horrid to begin with. I actually use my Playstation 2 EyeToy as a microphone instead and it sounds better. The sound quality, though, is really nice.
  • Pros: Sound Quality - Amazing when properly set up. Without any form of bass boost, the sound simply doesn't sound that defined. However, setting a very small bass boost up (only 3 dB), it started to sound much better from the start. Articulation - Lets say someone comes into the room to talk to you an...
  • Cons: Construction - It's mostly plastic, simply put. It feels.. slightly flimsy at times. The cable is VERY thin and QUICKLY tangles itself up. Surprisingly it hasn't shorted yet, which for me is a shocker right there. The microphone - Let me clarify something right here, right now. I DO have the matc...

Great Headphones If you get On sale.

Anonymous, Newegg
27 January 2012
  • Summary: Really good headphones If you can get them on sale.
  • Pros: The sound is great I hear things In music and games I never heard before. Fits on ears really nice. I got them for 40 dollars so that's the reason I bought them other wise I wouldn't send 80 dollars on them.
  • Cons: The cord is really thin and cheap feeling. Id expect for a 100 dollar asking price when theses came out the cord would of been a little thicker.
