Summary: By J. Mcdougal I had these headphones for about a month. I really loved the sound, and they were quite comfortable. But the build quality is really bad. The left headphone cup broke off. I did not do anything abusive to the headphones. The left cup just snapped off. Highly disappointed.
Summary: By R.S. Eisenberg ""Don't look back; something might be gaining on you"" Without a doubt, Creative was the first manufacturer to create, score big and dominate the PC aftermarket audio niche with their "Sound Blaster" series of sound cards and the attendant, always excellent software. I had used one of their "pro" designs years ago and it was fantastic. Soon they moved out of the beige box and into peripherals: speakers, webcams and headphones, to name but a few.
Summary: Cost: $60 US Recommended: YES Compared against my Audio Technica ATH-M50's Looks: Simply designed with no extra flair sans some reflective ear cups. Each ear cup is clearly labeled for left and right. Leather ear pads, a slim headband, and 3ft rubber insulated cord finish off the Aurvana Live. Construction: The cord is nice and durable and the stereo connector is small enough to fit into my ipod ( with plastic cover ).
Summary: By moose_of_many_waters I do a lot of recording and mixing and sometimes need to do a quick job on the road. I bought these without listening to them beforehand because they were cheap (60 bucks when I bought them) so if I broke them while traveling wouldn't feel too bad, and probably still had decent sound. Now I've listened and used them. They are worth sixty dollars or so.
Summary: Well I got these cans to check how good they are after reading some online reviews ... They feel cheap and like they are going to break by themselves. Sound was good but the rest was nothing stellar to write about. I guess for the price they are ok.
Summary: Good sound quality and reasonably comfortable, unfortunately lasted only 14.5 months before the right side went dead. Only used carefully in home thus not happy with this, previous makes I have used have lasted much longer with less careful treatment.
Great sound, poor wiring - sound cut out on one ear.

Summary: Short version: Great sound, but as a few others have stated there seems to be an issue with poor wiring, leading to sound cutting out in one ear. To be fair, the fault occurred at least 6 months after purchase, and I do use headphones a lot; mp3 player whilst out and about commuting etc, sometimes plug into the laptop too. I actually managed to initially fix them by unscrewing the can, cutting back the wire a bit and re-soldering to the....
Summary: These cans are probably the best I've heard within the price range, great bass, mids and highs.Sound leakage is practically non existent and they are incredibly comfortable. Sounds great huh? Here's the sting in the tail: After only 9 months of fairly casual use, the right ear cup snapped clean off rendering them useless. The audio quality isn't in question..the build quality is another matter entirely.I'm very disappointed.
Summary: The sound on these creative aurvana headphones is absolutely fantastic, especially for the price. They are well balanced in terms of bass and treble and they are so light you forget you are wearing them. Proof of how much I appreciated the sound is that I've owned 3 pairs of them. The first pair I lost whilst travelling, having owned them for just over 2 months. It's on the second and third pair that I discovered the issues with the wiring.
