My ears are happy

Jared G., Newegg
30 September 2008
  • Summary: I have read some reviews that people were complaining about the hardiness of these headphones. I haven't owned them long so I guess time will tell, but my initial impression is they are quite stout and well made.
  • Pros: So far so good! I just received these headphones and wow! I didn't know what I had been missing. The sound quality is amazing, and the earpieces are very comfortable.
  • Cons: None so far

Stylish - nothing special

Thomas T., Newegg
23 September 2008
  • Summary: The headphones look very nice and they have a very clear sound but i gave it a 3 - overall rating because it lacks the base which we all love :-/ definitely worth 40 dollars, not a penny more. I would definitely not classify these as DJ Headphones!
  • Pros: Very Stylish and sturdy (so far)
  • Cons: Lacks base!

Great Headphones

Maciej N., Newegg
26 August 2008
  • Summary: Get these for gaming, editing or even mixing as they originally were made for DJ-ing. For $29 you can't go wrong with these. They retail for $99
  • Pros: These headphones are really awesome, I'm using them for late night gaming, and I'm most happy with it's crystal clear sound, comfort, and most important very long phone-like extending cable which allows me to walk with them all over my room while pluged in.
  • Cons: Got them for $29 so what really could I write here. Nothing probably.

Decent headphones

Christopher L., Newegg
23 August 2008
  • Summary: If you plan on buying a pair of headphones that you can count on to last for 2-4 years, these are probably not the right headphones for you. They sound great, but they don't have a very long life-span.
  • Pros: Sound range is pretty good on these headphones. They produce a pretty clean sound with very little or no artifacts. The bass range could be a tad bit stronger, but the high and mid range come in very clearly. Have tried a few times with X-FI, and they sound great with it. I currently use an old a...
  • Cons: After 6-7 months, just like the other guy, the plastic bands on both sides have broken, despite careful use. Had to super glue them together, but I don't think that this is going to work much longer. They don't fit as well as they could either. The earcups do not fully cover the ear, and the smal...

Good for, movies.

Robert H., Newegg
19 August 2008
  • Summary: Work well with my Creative X-Fi - If you like Creative products you will not be disappointed.
  • Pros: Sound Great. Upgraded from Sony MDR-V150(which are good), these are a definite improvement. Got on sale at newegg for $32 WOW what a deal, worth at least $50.
  • Cons: Ears sweat if room is a little warm.

User Review

Jason M., Newegg
12 August 2008
  • Summary: My 10 year old Sony MDR-V6 headphones suit my needs much better then these and have a much better dynamic range. The only thing I liked better about the Creative headphones was the isolation.
  • Pros: I was impressed with the Initial examination of the design. The audio cable is of decent thickness and comes out of just one side of the headphones which is a plus. Decent headphones have a coily cord as this one does too. Isolation from outside sound is good. Bass response is decent
  • Cons: As a DJ, I like a good dynamic range and I didn't feel I got that with these. They had kind of a hollow sound with empasis on the bass frequencies. Left/Right pivoting of each headphones doesn't have enough play. 1/4" adaptor is snap on rather then screw on.

Solid Headphones

Jordan S., Newegg
9 July 2008
  • Summary: If you are the kind of person that wants a good sounding set of headphones that don't make you look like a goofball while you wear them...you might want to give these a try.
  • Pros: I think these are pretty solid headphones. I wouldn't pay the advertised price, but if you can snag them for 40 or so like the other reviewer said i think that is a pretty fair price. They are a little better then the Sennheiser HD202's...but they sure arent 60 dollars better. They look pretty da...
  • Cons: You could definitely find a better sounding/more comfortable set of headphones than these.

ahhh creative

johnny t., Newegg
14 May 2008
  • Summary: i have a creative fatality pro series card. i am not a DJ so i do not know what is the standard of DJ. but im sure the sonny 700s if you are a Dj would know what im talking about are pretty good says by most DJs.
  • Pros: good sound, cool looking style, comes in a fancy box, too expensive for these headphones most 40 bucks i would say. i bought it for 35 bucks. 35 dollars is okay.
  • Cons: heavy, not very comfortable, it is one of those springy cords when not extended it is about 3 feet. it gets in the way because i need to use some effort to extend it or it will spring back. still not worth 90 bucks but like i said i got this for 35 for some other online retail store.

meh

matthew f., Newegg
10 April 2008
  • Summary: overall underwhelming. disappointed when i bought them, disappointed that they didn't last long. decent at best while they lasted.
  • Pros: decent sound. simple looking and i <3 that
  • Cons: had these for about 6 months and the plastic broke on both sides. doesn't fit well with long hair/glasses. sound isn't worth 100 bucks. had some nice sony headphones for about 6 years before the left side went out... but the sound was better on those and cheaper.
