Worth it~

Daniel C., Newegg
15 May 2015
  • Summary: Its a really great headset overall and the warranty replacing the headset is great also. Despite buying it in the US the European Corsair team replaced it after the plastic broke the first time and gave me another year extended warranty.
  • Pros: -Really amazing sound quality. -Flawless playback up to 7-12 ft away. -Comfy on the head. -Their warranty department replaced it after moving internationally.
  • Cons: -The charging cable breaks too frequently. -The plastic frame holding the ear pieces on breaks too easily.

Internal battery finally failed

Mark B., Newegg
9 April 2015
  • Summary: 1500s were nice, but the cord was NOT kid friendly. Shelled out $140 for these (2000's) which were better for my household, but had a major design flaw in the cheap plastic housing that held the swivels for each ear. Eventually, this headset died.
  • Pros: This was without a doubt, the best set of headphones I've ever owned. I've gotten thousands of hours out of them, and they have always provided me with amazing gaming memories. Thank you, Corsair.
  • Cons: Weak design flaw in the swivel mounts. Cheap plastic that cracked almost immediately. I know they fixed this issue with the updated model, 2100, so you can't really fault them on that. Battery just died. Ive tried multiple USB charging cords, as well as multiple USB ports. No dice. I had multiple...

Awesome

Andrew W., Newegg
15 January 2014
  • Summary: Charge seems to last a few hours. You can still use them while they are charging, but sometimes unplugging the charging cable will turn them off.
  • Pros: Work great. Love the sound that comes out of them. Very comfortable to wear.
  • Cons: Need to download the software for virtual surround sound. Anytime you restart your computer, the software will reset to normal (2.1).

Fantastic

  • Pros: Plug and play is simple. Software is simple to use and plenty of features. I gets that full theater sound without annoying everyone around you.
  • Cons: Biggest problem with these is when the bass hits all sound is softened. Its like the bass is requiring more power than the headset can supply.

Andrew B., Newegg
10 November 2013
  • Pros: Sound great, good bass. best headset i had.
  • Cons: Haven't had it for a year, and it broke by right above the swivel on both sides. Seem like a common occurrence. finally got the replacement. lets see how long it lasts.

great sound weak plastic

Christopher B., Newegg
2 November 2013
  • Summary: Only reason i bought these was because i thought they were constructed with metal instead of plastic, my immediate disappointment upon unboxing was quelled by the great sound output, but never the less, plastic is still plastic, and with mild usage, today they broke.
  • Pros: great 7.1 surround sound and mic
  • Cons: would like to see a mic gain setting. Had for almost 2 months and the plastic swivel mount cracked rendering them unusable. will look into a refund.

Good headset

Rj W., Newegg
9 October 2013
  • Summary: Would be nice if it were bluetooth. Sadly it doesn't work as sound output for ps3 (I mean the in-game sound, it can be used as a communication device)
  • Pros: Feels pretty comfortable. Battery life is good, I've used up to 5 hours non-stop without it dieing. I like the overall quality so far, it seems very sturdy.
  • Cons: Range is pretty limited, open spaces it does well but as soon as I go around a wall it will cut out. Sound seems a bit fuzzy with 7.1 enabled (but haven't played with it that much yet, maybe it's the settings)

User Review

Nuno R., Newegg
26 September 2013
  • Pros: For what I paid for it 89.99 114 after tax and shipping. its fantastic even through reading the bad reviews due to the plastic hinge area breaking I purchased these great clear sound and deep bass. Good distance was able to walk out onto my porch smoke a cigarette and listen to music without losi...
  • Cons: Cheaply plastic feel and somewhat itchy ear muffs. paranoid about the break but it does have a two year warranty.

From G930 to this.

Ryan G., Newegg
24 June 2013
  • Summary: Overall I would recommend this. I had G930 for couple years now. The cons are only minor and easily fixable if they put a bit of work into they software. Really good quality, not so good support.
  • Pros: -Very nice look -Comfortable even with glasses -Wireless (a must) -5.1 and 7.1 -Really good Mic Quality, (even with other people in around people said they couldn't hear them)
  • Cons: -Really bad UI compared to G930 - Cant tell how much power is left until it beeps - No way to mute the mic on the headset unless yo alt-tab and open up sound config. -No way to adjust speakers on the headset unlike the g930

Dam Fine Job Corsair

Perry F., Newegg
12 June 2013
  • Summary: Worth it. Would recommend picking a pair up. Even if you don't get these, DO NOT GET THE RAZER MEGLADON OVER THESE. It is an overpriced piece of you know what.
  • Pros: Very Very Comfortable. I came from the megadolon (which sucked), and these are much better. Amazing audio and mic sound. Over six of my friends have all told me my mic quality is great, and to add to that, the audio is fantastic, even when far away. They're Wireless, and they have a very good ran...
  • Cons: This headset is not without its falts: A wie bit overpriced The Corsair Headset Software refuses to work for me. I installed it I think eight times, and even with two different unzippers.... but alas, they won't work. Doesn't bother me though (have had no need to use them). As said, Design could ...
