Summary: I'm probably howling into the void on this one, since the product is discontinued. These headphones served me faithfully for 2 years. But now the plastic of the headband has cracked at the seams where the cup joints meet the connector arms. This has resulted in a loose fit and an unhappy customer.
Summary: DO NOT BUY, unless you want to deal with these issues and little to no support for corsair. I would of never spent the money I did and got corsair if I new these issues would be this bad on windows 8.
Pros: Sits nicely on my head Good quality (hardware side) overall
Cons: The audio drivers are absolutely garbage Bass distortion at low volume level Mic is soft and hard to dial in correctly
Summary: If you are looking at this headset and think "oh wow it looks so nice, wireless, and its cosair!" please do not end up like the rest of us and have to buy another headset. Unless you are a talented with metal and can replace the plastic pieces with metal pieces then DO IT.
Pros: A very nice, comfortable headset with -Wireless up to 30 feet or so -Flip boom to easy mute -Comfy ear cups -Comfy headband -Very nice surround sound (not 7.1 but still good) -Look attractive with the brushed aluminum look -Unique charging cable-to-headset -Did I mention WIRELESS?
Cons: Now you may be wondering why one egg? Well the first month with this bad boy was wonderful, but after that, it happened. The cracked plastic of death "AKA CPOD". Makes this headset so useless! I tried taping it but the one piece always comes undone, so sometimes I just carefully put it around my ...
Cons: Cuts out while I am less than 3 feet away from the receiver. It disables all Netgear wireless adapters that are within 30 feet. It's terribly heavy and uncomfortable. Corsair takes 4-6 days to respond to their troubleshooting tickets...My money is wasted at this point.
Summary: after my set cracked i bought the mad catz f.r.e.q 5. thoes are built like a tank but the sound was so so for me. Next time ill pick up the logitechs or see what mionix has to offer with their new upcoming set.
Pros: These work well if you tape up the joints / hinges where the ear cups rotate.
Cons: Bought these new about a year ago. They initially cracked around the hinge points. I really didnt care so i taped up both sides with blue painters tape. A few passes around is all you need and they are rock solid! Sure you cant move them or rotate them anymore lol. Recently the charge port will n...
Summary: I have had this headset for just under a year. I have now RMA'd it from Corsair for the second time. They have broken in the exact same place both times. At the cheap plastic swivel hear cup joint. Basically all the pressure on your head is right at this joint.
Pros: They sound good while they work.
Cons: I have had this headset for just under a year. I have now RMA'd it from Corsair for the second time. They have broken in the exact same place both times. At the cheap plastic swivel hear cup joint. Basically all the pressure on your head is right at this joint. It is made from incredibly thin and...
Summary: Corsair do the right thing and issue a recall. You should be ashamed to have your name on such a low rate, over priced, hunk of utter garbage. Taking peoples money in good faith when you know your product bad is sinful. I have been a long time supporter and patron of this company.
Pros: I would list a pro if they functioned or were not broken all the time. Wasted money.
Cons: This is a long list. Build quality is abhorrent. Will break even with light and gentle use. For them to crack, and break just by putting them on your head is just asinine. The mini USB port has broken on several pairs. Can only charge, or use them plugged in when the cord is put in at a certain a...
Summary: Terrible headset DO NOT BUY. GO BUY THE LOGITECH G930!!!
Pros: Comfortable for about the first month or so. Decent sound. Start with 8 hour battery life.
Cons: After a couple weeks of use the battery went down to 5 hours. The battery also dies a little bit while the headset is off. After the first month the headset is no longer comfortable, it hurts your head, and youre forced to wear a hat. They're usually broken after the first 2 or 3 months anyways, ...
