Summary: My headset has broken twice, once in 2 different places. I'm not taking off an eggs for this because the first time it broke, I had dropped it countless times from about 3 ft onto concrete, and I fixed the break using jb weld.
Pros: Good directional audio Good mic Comfortable Clamps your head hard/tight (I like it) Goes loud enough Nice braided cable, is still thin and flexible Easy interface for drivers
Cons: Eq resets for me constantly Eq seems unresponsive Does not sound good listening to music, I primarily listen to rock/metal Seems to conflict with stereo mix, was not able to use stereo mix after getting this headset Mic arm loses its ability to stay where you want it to quickly USB so you can't u...
Summary: I am not an audiophile so I can't really speak to the quality of the sound in audiophile terms. They sound find to me.
Pros: These work great in Windows: the sound and mic are both good. Very comfortable, good at blocking outside noise. Nice long, high quality cord.
Cons: I bought this for working with a Mac and a Linux machine and they don't work well on the Mac (volume doesn't work correctly) and they don't work at all on Ubuntu. It's specifically stated that they're windows only (I should have read more carefully) so I'm not taking any eggs off.
Summary: This is pretty much what I was expecting. There is bass just not a lot of it. You can mess around with the settings to get a little more out of your headset. The 7.1 is pretty good just for a headset. Personally I have no real complaints. Just be aware that you have to use this with a computer
Pros: -Comfortable -long cord -easy to use -great balance of sound...maybe needs a little more bass but is not disappointing by any means
Cons: -USB headset so you have to use it with a computer. -Not a lot of Bass -Not much Linux support but still works for stereo
Summary: Crazy how they can make it sound like 7.1 surround sound with just 2 speakers. Awesome headset and really impressed me. Before this headset I've only ever used 3.5 jacks to high quality sound cards. It is a bit frustrating to record PC gameplay/commentary when using a USB headset, so beware of that.
Pros: Sounds amazing and is comparable to a 7.1 sound-card. Great options for equalization and sound positioning. I've played games like CS:GO with this and you can perfectly hear what direction someone is coming from. Really gives you a nice edge.
Cons: Sadly with any wired headset you have too look after your cable and treat it with much care. After about a year a short has developed right under the volume control. So just keep your cords safe!
Pros: Its good. Good software, good quality, good cable, good sound, good microphone, its just good. 50mm drivers make sound even better. The software is pretty good, not the best I've seen but gets the job done and is fairly easy to use.
Cons: Previous headset had 2 3.5mm jacks with converter, which gave me options, this is USB only but I knew it going in and was ok with it as I only use it and wanted it for PC.
Summary: Since I don't use the mic much, I recently purchased the Audio Technica M50's to listen to games and music, which is a much lighter headphone and i find myself mostly using. But glad i have these corsair if i ever need a headset.
Pros: Great build quality. Great sound and surround. USB software works great. Comfortable. Nice volume control and mute on the cord.
Cons: While comfortable, they are fairly big and the cloth cups can get the ears warm (and sweaty) after extended wear. They can get a bit 'heavy' as well after a long gaming session. But still a great solid headset and worth the price.
Summary: My inexperience with surround sound does play a part. I have a little trouble judging it. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't say how good that is, but it seems great to me.
Pros: Great sound, great base. Glad I went with this over the 2000 series. Great Base, especially when using 7.1. I love listening to music with these on. USB so don't have to worry about on-board sound quality. Better then my 2.1 speaker setup on my PC.
Summary: Assessment: These headphones are an excellent buy if you're in the market for a new gaming headset. The overall quality for sound and mic quality is the best I've owned for gaming, and the surround sound is a must have. Software is great but needs a little tweaking.
Pros: This headset has all the bells and whistles. You can't find a better headset for the price, I got mine on sale for $70 U.S. and it's one of the best buys of the year considering my old headset was a 10 year old logitech. The software this headset comes with is very nice, and allows you to tailor ...
Cons: I haven't really found too many cons to this headset yet, but there are a couple. The sound gets all wonky (although very rare) and you have to go into the headsets software and switch in between the regular headset and back to surround to fix it. It's interrupted a couple of my gaming sessions a...
