Nice Sturdy And Simple All In-1 With Dolby Surround Sound Simulation
13 February 2015
Summary: The Corsair Vengeance Headphones are of nice and sturdy construction and the sound quality is adequate. I really liked the simulated Dolby surround sound simulation as it made gaming and movies seem much more real.
Summary: They are good for the money and certainly don't disappoint. I would buy them again.
Pros: They have amazing sound reproduction (especially low end) and the sound options are fantastic.
Cons: You will undoubtedly use these for gaming, but they are a bit heavy and get a bit tight after a couple hours. The mic is good, the sound is good, but it will wear on you if you use them for any long period of time.
Summary: The cable is fairly manageable, but I have my doubts it will last more than a couple years. Overall I highly recommend you buy this headset if and only if it is on sale. If you're going to spend $100 on a headset, consider something of better quality like the 2100's or a pair of Astros.
Pros: What I like about this headset is how comfortable it is for long periods of time (4-8 hours, maybe longer if that's how you play. The sound quality and ability to hear directional audio is awesome too. With a bit of EQ tweeking, music and movies can sound pretty good too. The mic is of good quali...
Cons: The build quality is not worth $100. I had to RMA the first pair because it was broken before I opened the box. The right ear cup was nearly detached from the band. The way the ear cups fold is pretty awkward as well. With the mic positioned on the left earcup, you won't be able to comfortable re...
Summary: I was told I'd be contacted once the drivers where up to par....that didn't happen, I guess because six months isn't long enough to fix a discontinued product driver. Wonder if v2's drivers would fix the issue.
Pros: I got these on sale awhile back, the sound is fantastic and I find the 7.1 emulation, comfort, and build quality to be quite high. For the price I paid, I simply couldn't imagine a better headphone. The mic works very well too.
Cons: Driver support for w7 is trash. Let that sync in. It's terrible. They have yet to release an updated version that actually works with my system. They released their current version, pulled it and advised customers to use an older version, then released it without fixing the conflict. Older driver...
Summary: The main reason why I am writing this review is the old reviews might have on potential customers. You no longer need to register the product to download the software. The software is a must to get a good/great sound out of this headset. Not sure if a sound card will make a improvement.
Pros: Good sounding. finish is great.
Cons: Wish the volume control's lighting would turn off as the computer shuts down. I could control it in my bio's, problem is I also use usb to charge my phone at night with pc turned off...oh well, I now have to unplug the headphones at night.
