Summary: The left speaker is WAY lower than the other after about a month, but my equalizer took care of that. Then the audio connector decided to be a dick and will now only work when I apply pressure to one side of it. It does this on all my devices, so it's the connector itself. I really hope Coby decides to be a good company and replace these, cause they are pretty good.
Pros: For $20, these headphones deliver. The bass on these are great, it surprised me when I got them. The only time the bass is even a little bit distorted is when the volume is all the way up and my equalizer booster is on.
Cons: They broke within the year. I contacted Coby from their main website, requesting a replacement, but no dice. I emailed them twice a month ago. Still no response. Since I see people review stuff on newegg and the manufactior responds, I might as well complain on here.
Summary: They are very uncomfortable if you plan to wear them for any length of time. They either press your ears into your cranium, or if you move them forward a bit, they try to crush your skull. And even if you do find a semi-comfortable position, they will still cause all of the blood in your ears to boil.
Pros: - The sound is very good for such a cost.
Cons: I know these are really cheap headphones, but they are labelled as "deep bass" and they don't really perform that well once you get under about 40 Hz. The sound gets very muddy, and I think a can hear something rattling in there.
Summary: They're relatively heavier than other cheapo headsets. Probably not good for excercising with these on.
Pros: Can't say enough good things about these headphones. These headphones are good enough to buy for 30 dollars. Fairly comfortable, rugged, sound is way better than any other $10 set of headphones you can find. We bought 30 pairs of them for our tour guide system and everyone who tries them is impressed. The bass these things can produce for the price is unmatched.
Conclusion: The Deep Bass is not there and i was fooling myself when i thought a pair of head phones this cheap would produce the sound i was looking for. I recommend these head phones for kids or young adults. They are the lowest quality sound but still not a bad deal when you consider the price.
Summary: These headphones are comfortable and the sound quality is as good as some $50 Sony headphones I've tried. The only thing that concerns me is their durability. They seem like they may break under heavy, extended use. I haven't had them long enough to test that yet. For the price these are great heaphones.
Summary: I love the sound on these, I bought two pair one for home and an extra pair for my recording booth. They work out great, I wish the cord was a heavier gauge wire then I believe these would give some more expensive headphones a good run.
Summary: Great fit for adults and children. Purchased these to go with a portable DVD player and they were 'stolen' by my husband so I had to purchase two more! Very comfortable and sound stays right where it should...in your ear and not in the room...
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
Summary: Purchased the Coby CV185 after watching a YouTube review to use with my laptop. The piano black finish gives it a great look. The bass is definitely there providing a full rich sound when used with my mp3 player. Would've liked if it had a volume control. It's a great buy for the price.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish, Works great in spdif
Conclusion: I have been happy with Coby brand name products since my first pair, which were the CV180. I was looking for another pair and found that they were no longer available. So I went for the headset that was most like the CV180 which I found to be the CV185. Which I found to also be excellent. I will continue to by Coby from now on do to the fact I don't have to question the quality of their headphones!!!
Summary: My 2 teenagers weren't too thrilled when I first got them these headphones thinking the price would reflect the quality, until they tried them. My older teen has a more expensive Skull Candy brand but now prefers the cheaper coby headphones. He says the sound is clearer and the base is great. Great value for the price.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound
