  • Summary: after M4 & Xiaomi Piston 2 (they were similar), i finally got a M5 to audition. i listened it for 2 days and here's my thoughts: soundstage is the same again, small in every aspect. bass, treble, vocals, mids everything placed just near another and the bass is too deep & powerful for this kind of soundstage. when you open up the bass, the result is going just worse for everything else. no detail in songs, everything sounds muffled.
  • Cons: Soundstage is too small, Mids are muffled, Powerful deep bass but squeezed in small acoustic, Treble is not seperated enough, Overall detailless sound

  • Summary: Originally posted at HeadphoneScout: Introduction: Brainwavz is a budget headphone company that offers some of the best bang/buck products on the market. Their M2 and M3 in-ears are a couple of my favorite IEMs under $100 but contrary to intuition the M5 was not meant to their successor (neither was the M4). Instead, Brainwavz has set out to improve on the $30 M1, an IEM whose strengths are comfort and instrument separation.
  • Pros: build quality, neutral yet enjoyable sound
  • Cons: low isolation due to vent

An excellent set of earphones

Anne, Amazon
13 August 2014
  • Summary: These earphones are another excellent product as part of the range sold by Brainwavz (set kindly provided in exchange for an honest review). As with many of the sets that this company sells these come with a very handy and robust carrying case which holds the set and the several different sets of tips in various sizes. This is an excellent feature and I think that the case is very stylish.

A Great Set of in Ear Noise Isolating Earphones.

Glenn Cook, Amazon
29 June 2014
  • Summary: Brainwavz made really good headphones that deliver really good sound. Their range is extensive and come in all price ranges and styles. The hardest part is matching your needs to the headphones. The M5s are a great addition to the range. Now I was provided with mine to test from the company. My review won't be as polished as others but more tailored towards what I would want to know if I were buying these earpieces. Here goes. The Sound.

  • Summary: Once again the Brainwavz team have really hit the mark. These In ear Earphones are simply a wonderful piece of kit. The sound that you get from these fabulous earphones is brilliant and rivals many others costing many times more. Simply put the Brainwavz team are sonic engineers. Their product is brilliant BUT where the Brainwavz really score is that their design team product really good looking and smart looks to match the heart of the earphones.

Usual top quality from Brainwavz.

Bobby Smith, Amazon
28 June 2014
  • Summary: These are nice, above average earphones that offer a clear clarity of sound, with both bass and treble mixing correctly to give a rounded sound that is perfect for the music connoisseur. To try these out I listened to Bishops Green: Bishops Green and the phones were perfect for Canadian's finest Oi! band. As ever, Brainwavz gives you loads of accessories, ranging from a hard carry case and numerous ear tips - a trick that other headphone producers would do well to copy.

Excellent earphones

Sid Nuncius, Amazon
25 June 2014
  • Summary: I think these are excellent earphones. They were sent to me by Brainwavz for review and, like others of theirs I have tried, they sound exceptionally good once they are properly adjusted, and far better than I might expect at this price. They come with a very nice little carrying case and a good range of silicone tips for a good fit.

The Best Low End Market Earphones I Have Used

John Kwok, Amazon
25 June 2014
  • Summary: Having tried and tested the Brainwavz Delta Earphones at the same time I've been using these, I will say that the Brainwavz Delta may be the best value for those interested in getting fine, relatively low cost, earphones. However, the sound quality in the Brainwavz M5 is sufficiently better that audiophiles who want superb low end market earphones with very good audio quality should regard the Brainwavz M5 as their first choice.
