Summary: I did a ton of digging for a mid level IEM. After reading Joker's IEM reviews of over 190 IEM's I decided on the M2 for 3 reasons. 1.) No section of the spectrum was tremendously recessed 2.) The clarity is top notch 3.) The quality vs price was phenomenal I listen to these 4 hours a day at work and every time I put them in I am amazed at how well they sound. The bass extends nicely and does not distort. It remains impactful and in place, not boomy.
Summary: Well after a good lengthy burn in (100hrs or so) I feel I am ready to write my full review of the Brainwavz M2. I would like to thank MP4Nation for sending me a pair of the M2 to review. To make it clear, I received this IEM for free, in exchange for a review by me. I was clear with MP4Nation that I would be completely honest in my review, good or bad. To which they responded they would want it no other way.
Build wise I am very impressed with the M2.
Brainwavz M2 is the repackaged version of ViSang R03 with identical IEM component. These are quite comfortable, but they are not light per se. I also decided to (carefully) cut off one-fifth of the length of the long strain-reliefs. The accessories include three sizes of hybrid tips and three sizes or foam tips (they are similar to olive tips).
Summary: I've had the Brainwavz M2 for a few days now, I haven't stopped listening to them, for me the sound is very pleasing before I ordered I worried that they might not suit me, but after many hours of listening I decided that they suit me very well and I like the sound they produce.
Before I carry on my main music genres are; heavy metal, indie/electro pop, punk, trance, house
The bass on these headphones is great, I like the amount of bass there is, there isn't LOTS of...
Pros: Nice build, excellent included tips, great sound
Cons: small selection of tips, included case is a bit fiddly to get the headphones into
Summary: I'm not exactly the average audiophile. Most my music is in 320kbps and some in flac, I'm fairly content with that. For a while I've been buying only Seinheiser CX 300s (first CX300i, then CX300 ii then CX300i (I lose headphones a lot)), and I've always found them to be good. But I decided to go by a recommendation from a forum which was these. I've never heard of Brainwavz before but the cost wasn't exactly unbearable, and I could always return them right?
Summary: The Brainwavz IEM Headphones are attractive with thick, rubberized cables of aluminum, and they have a nice, look to them with a red coloring used for accents. They came in a well packaged box encased in hard plastic. The color is a nice red. This came with three sets of silicone tips, but I found the one attached to the cable fit well, and were very comfortable. After awhile I did not notice them at all. There is a set of instructions included.
