Great headphones. It's the leads you've got to worry about.

Summary: I really love these headphones and use them almost every single day (when they're working). So why the low score? The problem is the headphone leads, which seem to fail on me every 2-3 months. I've literally gone through 7 cables in the 18 months I've had them.
Summary: As with all high end products, they sound better after some running in. Therefore I left them to play various music for about 30 hours. The sound is first class! HOWEVER, after about an hour, they become so uncomfortable that I cannot wear them - the headband is actually quite painful to wear.
Summary: I bought these on a whim at the airport, thinking that B&W make such great loudspeakers that I really couldn't go wrong. But they are frankly awful. Muffly, thudding bass and very little clarity in higher frequencies.

Excerpt: I felt compelled to write a review of these headphones so that buyers could get a different viewpoint before spending a lot of money; particularly as they seem to be getting rave reviews in the Hi-Fi and Audio press.

Summary: I felt compelled to write a review of these headphones so that buyers could get a different viewpoint before spending a lot of money; particularly as they seem to be getting rave reviews in the Audio press. I purchased the headphones on line and collected them from my local store.
Summary: Bought these headphones after a visit to an Apple store where I tried them out. When they arrived I found the volume and other controls don;t work. After a visit to the B&W web-site it transpires they are not compatible with an 80 gb IPod Classic onlyn the the 160.
