Bose SIE2i Sport Earphones

22 October 2012
  • Summary: The Bose SIE2i is clearly meant for someone who doesn't want to be torn away from their music, no matter if it is raining, or he/she is in the gym sweating it out on a treadmill. It has very good vocal clarity, but bass punch seems to be a little underwhelming. The comfort level varies for every individual, but this one does seem to be a little tougher than the ones following a more "walk down the middle path" route.
  • Pros: Very clear vocal reproduction, Good audio handling at high volumes, The 'i' versions get microphones for calling, In-line volume controls are helpful, Short cable setup for when using the armband, Well built, Surprisingly light in the ear
  • Cons: Too much ambient sound trickles in, Bass isn't very powerful, Eartips are unforgiving, if not using correct size

Bose SIE2i

PC Magazine
5 October 2012
  • Conclusion: The Bose SIE2i earphones deliver rich bass and clean audio performance in a moisture-proof, exercise-friendly design.
  • Pros: Quality, clean audio performance. Secure fit for exercise. iPhone controls and microphone. Reebok-designed armband for iPhone is included. Shorter cable is optimized for workouts, extension cable included.
  • Cons: Although secure, the eartips have an open design that might not appeal to everyone. Current armband not optimized for iPhone 5. Design colors not for everyone. Sculpted frequency response not for audio purists.

First On TechTree: Review — Bose SIE2i

1 October 2012
  • Conclusion: The Bose SIE2i is an excellent performer. Although not audiophile-grade, it does sound very good. The open design makes it comfortable to wear even when it's hot, and the design ensures that sweat never enters the speaker section. The silicone rubber eartips fit securely and inconspicuously, and won't fall off during your exercise routine. The Reebok-branded armband looks cool and has great utility. All this, unsurprisingly, comes at a price — a hefty Rs 8700.
  • Pros: Comfortable fit; Great sound; Sweat-resistant; iPhone-compatible; Reebok armband.
  • Cons: Expensive; Armband pouch too small for the iPhone 5.
