BOSE-Buy Other Sound Equipment

  • Summary: These are an older model of the current headphones but can be gotten at an amazing Costco price. They have family adequate sound reproduction, but the real shining glory of these headphones is the noise cancelling. Look up any noise cancelling headphones and these will ALWAYS come out on top.
  • Pros: best noise cancelling of all headphones very comfortable earpads tolerable sound reproduction a must for travellers
  • Cons: substandard but 'ok' sound severely overpriced for such cheap headpones low quality construction using cheap materials older model

  • Summary: Listeners of melodic trance music with these QC15s might fall into a deep stupor... natural highs (w/o substances) might be evoked by the vibrant layers of crisp frequencies that seem to manifest life of their own like fireflies in the dark, dancing in a dimension within and around your head...
  • Pros: The entitlement of superiority over hipsters sporting Beats... shows you appreciate music more than abiding fashion trends... c'mon, it's Bose!
  • Cons: Cups get stuffy and humid after 30 minutes of wear... also, you might not realize the fire alarm has went off, or nearby jealous folks talking trash

Great but lacking features in sub $300 headphones

  • Summary: I love these headphones. I would give them a 6 star rating if it came down to quality of sound and noise cancellation. Every time I put them on it's like angels are singing in my ears.
  • Pros: Amazing sound and noise cancellation. Very comfortable.
  • Cons: Poor on/off placement switch. Doesn't turn off after a period of non use. Not rechargeable. Can't play without a battery.

Excellent noise canceling headphones

  • Summary: I love my QC15s! I have had them for close to 2 years and I don't think I could live without them anymore. They are surprisingly comfortable and light although they get hot if you wear them for a long time.
  • Pros: Blocks most noise, is surprisingly comfortable, has a great battery life, very sturdy and Boise has a great warranty (when my first pair broke after 3 months they replaced it no questions asked).
  • Cons: A little bulky to carry around, weird noise if you lay down with them on but the music off.

Very good, only a couple of niggles.

  • Summary: Summer is here and I can open the roof on my Spider. The QC 15 does a nice job of reducing the wind and road noise (I can almost imagine myself in an S-Class) and I can hear the music fine.
  • Pros: - excellent noise reduction, - very comfortable (and in an open car they keep the ears warm)
  • Cons: - rechargeable batteries not supported (supposedly), - low battery click very annoying, - no automatic shut off

Great for what they're supposed to do

  • Summary: These headphones are amazing if you value sound canceling above all else. These are so unbelievably comfortable, and the quiet that you can achieve when flying justifies the price tag right there. My only real gripe is that the sound is not necessarily the best out there.
  • Pros: Sound canceling is unrivaled, Extremely comfortable, Decent sound
  • Cons: Better sound can be found for less money, Relies on a battery to function

They work like a charm.

  • Summary: I think the headphones work great when traveling. They are comfortable and do a great job cancelling the noise of the engines of a plane or the crying baby sitting next to you. However, if you were to fall asleep and push the headphones against the head rest, there seems to be a low pressure created...
  • Pros: The headphones are quite comfortable and offer a low and high setting depending on what setting you are in. Also, they cup the ears very well which helps with the noise cancelling abilities.
  • Cons: Some cons with the headphones are that if you lean to a side and compress the headphone over your ear, it sort of hurts and creates a really loud weird noise. Also the cord is pretty frail and rips near both of the ends. I am already on my second.

Good enough for me!

  • Summary: First thing i want to mention is that i'm not an "audiophile" or heavy music user. I'm just the average person who listen music occasionnaly (maybe 1h-2h per day).
  • Pros: Noise cancellation is doing a good job by cancelling a lot of ambiant noise. The sound is good enough for me. Comfort is good. I like the iPhone chord.
  • Cons: The price is high. The noise cancellation is doing a good job, but not perfect.

Consumer Democracy

  • Summary: My system had a problem with the audio. It was missing some sound frequencies to my ear when compared to other same model systems. Went many times to customer service and the unit returned the same until they replaced all the boards with a note "just for custumer satisfaction, no problem found".
  • Pros: lack of control on the sourround delay
  • Cons: lack of control on the sourround delay
