Summary: I thought this noise canceling headset would solve my issues with noise reduction. I was looking for noise canceling that would cancel voice noise from TV, but it doesn't. When people in my house are talking and I don't wan'I to hear it I try to block there speaking, so I put these Bose QC15, voice noise gets in.
Pros: good for blocking a steady noise like air conditioner fans. Comes with a good carrying case to protect. Almost feels good wearing them
Cons: not good for blocking voice noise. Does not have good music quality. It sounds good, but just too flat of a sound. If you want really excellent sound try Sony.
Summary: The switch is amazing! Turn on the power, and the ability of the processor in these headphones to cut out ambient sound is mind blowing. Unfortunately, the silence to me was disconcerting. I focused on inner ear pressure. I felt low frequency energy sources like hvac, port terminal operations, and overhead jets. And there was no white noise to either validate or blunt it.
Excerpt: Okay, this is a rather tricky review, because I love and hate different aspects of this product. The reputation of no outside sounds is quite true: when I wore them in the middle of studio, with nearly sixty people in close proximity, it was silent. I love the idea of only hearing the music, and not focusing on other noises. The sound quality was amazing too; very sharp and clear. Couple of things that I didn't car for...
Excerpt: I received a pair of these headphone last Christmas. I didn't start using them until the next month. On a long 14-hour nonstop flight, I brught them with me, along with my iPod. My first mistake was not packing them in a hard case. Instead, I just put them in a pouch inside my carry-on case. These head phones need more protection because all the parts are made with low/mid-grade platick bits. A couple of hours into the flight, I powered up these bad boys and wow...
Excerpt: I bought these headphones for my son , an audiophile, last Christmas and I was a little disappointed. The price tag almost made me pass out , but I knew the Bose name was one of the best and had a great reputation, My sister had owned a Bose music system for years and it had an amazing sound for such a little system,so with some trepidatioin, I bought these for my son , He was really pleased with them and seemed to baby them .
Excerpt: It is no surprise why Bose is so popular and has such a great reputation. Simply mentioning "Bose" to anyone will think of "quality". These headphones are extremely comfortable and the sound is crystal clear. The one negative aspect to buying any Bose products is that they are extremely expensive. I can safely go as far to say that they are overpriced. Yes, they are great, but the price kills it. This is the ONLY bad thing about them.
Excerpt: I would highly recommend a pair of these Quietcomfort headphones to any audiophille. Of course this type of quality comes with a very steep price. I had an opportunity to "buy and try" a pair of these head phones. I am a gamer and the outside noise cancelling really isolates you in a world with only the sound coming from these headphones and the thoughts in your head. To be exact it's sublime. I've never heard sound quality better than from this pair of bose before.
Summary: These headphones do a great job of reducing ambient noise as well as do a wonderful job of reproducing stereo sound that is pleasant to listen to even at low volumes. However the ear cups are a bit small and after a couple hours of listening at work, my ears began to get sore.
Pros: Great sound, noise cancelling ability, easy to store
Cons: Ear cups need to be a bit larger. Maybe I just have big ears!
