Summary: I travel over 200,000 miles a year by plane and wouldn't want to fly with my QC15. Earlier this year I lost one pair and flying was almost painful without them. I got the added bonus of picking up a pair of the LE QC15 in blue which really stand out. If you are a frequent traveler (or just want to get rid of background noise) these are for you.
Summary: I've owned two pairs of the Bose NC headphones. Both failed out of warranty. The first pair the ear pads fell off because the glue failed and became mushy. Called the factory and was told tough, out of warranty. Bad attitude from their employee. I bought a replacement pair and now they have failed-out of warranty of course. For $300 they should last.
Summary: I have had two of these now. My recent one is being used once every 4 months on flights to NY or out of the country. That's all I use it for. Despite the limited use, the ear pads started falling apart by fraying. I had them replaced. Also, after 2 years of use, the batter compartment started to malfunction. I now have to use olive oil to clean the metal parts in the battery compartment before I can use it.
Bose QC15 vs. V-MODA Crossfade LP Over-Ear Noise-Isolating
B. Bagwell, Amazon
1 December 2012
Summary: I got a great deal on the V-MODA Crossfade LP Over-Ear Noise-Isolating for Cyber Monday... 74.99 instead of 125... Noise Isolating? Hardly! Comfort - none... at all. I had used my husbands Bose Quiet Comfort 15's before and the Crossfades sounded alright, but after wearing them for 10 min, my head was pounding.
Summary: Bose QuietComfort 15 I have resisted buying Bose for a long time. I have tons of other headphones that are uncomfortable and urt my head and ears. I have a drawer full of headphones with shorts in the fixed wired cable and ones that simply sound bad. I have at least one other noise canceling set that literally do not cancel out any noise. If I add up what I spent for all those bad headphones, I could have had these a long time ago (maybe two).
Summary: Very happy with this headsets. Noise Cancellation: 100% Design: 80% Comfortable: 100% Sound: 100% Quality: 100% Sound leak: None. :D. Maybe design is not better than Beast headsets however, the performance is so better.
Summary: My mother just bought these as a gift for me... I joked about having a good pair of headphones to save me from my misery of horrible $20 headphones that acted like $20 headphones... I tested out these Bose with a decent amount of bass-heavy music - AMAZING. Sold 100% so far.
Summary: These headphones are easily the best I've ever used. They are comfortable, sturdy, and offer tremendous sound! I wish that I could listen to music without having to enable the noise cancellation (read: turn on power), but that is extremely minor to me. I have used these guys for the work day today only, and have not felt that I needed to remove them for comfort at any point. I will revisit as time goes by if anything changes due to wear and tear.
Summary: As a frequent flyer, I'm on the road a lot. I also make a good amount of trips overseas. Previously, I put earplugs in and set the volume of the provided headsets as high as possible so I could somewhat understand what was being said in the movies. Once I received this birthday present, I couldn't believe the difference it made in traveling.
