Summary: I love this headphones. They make you want to listen to your entire music collection because they sound incredibly good. The noise cancellation works perfecty and it blocks 90% of the external sound so you listen only your music. Try them on before you buy them, but of you want good headphones, this are the ones you're looking for.
Summary: Received these a few days ago. Took them out of the package and got what I was expecting from trying these in the store / reading reviews online. The packaging was ok, not great, not terrible. The case seems to provide adequate protection, so I am just hoping the headphones themselves can stand the test of time. Sound Quality - Pretty bad (comparatively). If you are coming from $20 Casio headphones, then these will sound good.
Summary: Too many people are critical of these headphones because they claim the music sound is not good enough for their tastes. No one really criticizes the noise canceling feature, but some say there is not enough bass. I disagree. THese headphones are superior to any others on the market and provide all the sound quality one could ask for. I've had many, many headphones over the years and I can say that none even come close to these in sound quality.
Summary: These are truly amazing headphones. My hearing is not the best and I have trouble listening to movies on airplanes on my iPad, even with the volume up all the way. The constant sound of the plane combined with the fairly low sound output of an iPad even at full volume rendered my inexpensive headphones ineffective on my last cross-country plane trip, much to my dismay. These Bose QC 15s are the answer. Their outstanding attribute is the noise cancelling feature.
Summary: Very light and comfortable. Noise cancelling is OUTSTANDING. Weight-5 stars Noise Cancelling-5 stars Style-3 stars, bulky Build-3 stars, mostly plastic Comfort-4 stars Sound-4 stars I also bought the B&W P5 which have better sound than the QC15, but had to return them due to being so uncomfortable.
Summary: Let's do the audio first then the idea of active noise canceling. The QC 15 is a great effort on the part of Bose. Like many higher end products, they are careful not to push any part of the spectrum but all frequencies come through nicely. Clear but not punchy in any. Some will love this, others may want more. I would dare to say I find the personality of audio very accurate but not daring, a kind of conservative quality. Always clean.
Long Term Review: cheap self destruct plastic not worth price

Summary: Yes they work as advertised on the first day. The electronics still work fine today but the cheap plastic broke down the side that holds the ear piece in place and allows you to adjust it to your head. The plastic becomes brittle in the sun when left in the trunk of a rental car on a hot day in the case in the luggage. They would be fine if they never left home but that's the point isn't it? For the price I feel totally ripped off. Of course the warranty has expired.
Summary: These headphones sound great and they have excellent noise cancellation on low-frequency sounds, especially fan noises or airplane noises. However, I intended to study with these but had to return them because unfortunately they do not block out higher frequency noises such as voices or paper shuffling. I wanted these to block out all noise so I could study in a coffee shop, but unfortunately a pair of cheap ear plugs performs better for this function.
Summary: I am stunned over how good these are. I put them on in my rather busy/noisy office and can hear almost nothing. When I add a little music to the mix, it's like taking a vacation while I'm at work. So soothing. I have problems with noise sensitivity, and for me these were an investment in productivity. If you work in cubicles where there is loud talking nearby you will never be bothered again with these earphones.
