Summary: I was a bit uncomfortable about spending so much money on a set of headphones and after purchasing them I was worried I'd been a little rash. But after a few weeks of use I am absolutely delighted with them and don't regret a penny of the money I spent on them. The sound quality is fantastic, partly because of the amazing range of the phones themselves and partly because they block out so much environmental noise.
Summary: I bought this product for my Bose AE2w bluetooth headphones, as they only came with a cloth bag. The headphoes don't quite fit in the case perfectly, but it gives better protection when travelling than the cloth bag supplied would. I also think the case could be a little cheaper.
Summary: Two years and counting, and I'd buy these again without hesitation. I fly on a Twin Otter on a weekly basis and if you ever have you know how loud that can be. These cancel out a significant portion of cabin noise, and now my iPad/iPhone's volume is set to half instead of max. When not flying I use them daily, and haven't had any issues with the cables, etc. Defo worth the purchase price.
Summary: I use these things all the time and they cut out sound amazingly. Really constant sounds like a furnace/AC unit are cut out entirely, and voices and other noise is cut way back to a point where some quiet music dulls them out entirely. I went through lots of headphones and there is not much else that can compare. I had Beats by Dr Dre and returned them as soon as I tried these things on.
Summary: I had been toying with the idea of buying a pair of noise cancelling earphones for a long time, but was procrastinating because of the high cost. I went to Futureshop thinking "I'll just do some research," and after trying a few pairs, I had my socks knocked off by these and purchased them on the spot. I use them primarily to cut out the noise my neighbours at work, in the and on the bus/out on the street/other busy places.
Summary: Both the noise isolation and the active noise cancelling system are excellent. Being on a bus or plane with them is a treat. I wear them when I mow the lawn and I can barely hear the mower. I find I don't have to turn up the volume as much as regular headphones to blank out background noise. So, I consider the high cost of these headphones a savings to my hearing. Two minor things that Bose should address: 1 - the headphone cords they ship with them are SOOOOO long.
Summary: Lashed out on a set of these headphones in Austarlia where they are 2/3 the price - and that was in Myer, a high street department store - and then got the GST back for a total of £190 brand new. Nearly £300 in rip-off Britain. Used them on the flights home - well! Gobsmacked at how effective they were at making the jet noise disappear. So good we resolved to buy a second set for 'er indoors (should have bought 2 pairs in Oz. I've owned many headsets over the years...
