Summary: I purchased a set two weeks ago to help keep out the background noise at work and they work so much better than the cheap ones I previously used. They're pricey, but so far seem to be worth it. The quality of construction seems to be high and They should last for a few years at least.
Summary: I've only had these for a bit over a year, and I love them. You could not ask for more from the noise cancellation. Someone has to be screaming at you for you to hear them, and I took these on vacation and they are great for cancelling the jet noise. They are also extremely comfortable.
Summary: After buying many different brands and styles of headphones, I have come to the opinion that spending a little extra money on headphones paid off in the long run, I have had these headphones for a little over 2 years, and they are in excellent condition still. Well made with nice material.
Summary: I've wanted the Bose QC 15 for quite some time and debated whether or not it was worth it. I got them for Christmas, and realized that I have not REALLY heard music until now. I can't go back to my standard iPhone earbuds. Bose has "ruined" my iPhone experience - in a good way.
Summary: After struggling to hear a movie on my flight with regular headphones, I decided to buy some noise cancellation headphones. After a 20hours on a plane I would easily buy these again. I also use them at the gym to block out their annoying in-house music. Great product so far.
Summary: The Pros: Great effect of blocking unwanted noises from your environment, like airplane, train or office. These are the only headphones I've experienced that actually do the trick. They work best in cancelling out static noise and will not work as well with voices.
Summary: I bought these for flying ONLY, and because Bose are the inventors of this technology and make headphones for pilots etc, so it made sense to get these. It's the only time I would get them, or unless I was a DJ.
Summary: I would definitely recommand the QC15. It has the best noise-cancelling feature out of all the headphones I used. Extremely lightweight and comfortable for hours. It does drain batteries quite quickly so is best to have a set of rechargable AAAs that you can use continuously. Construction is solid.
