Bose QuietComfort 20i Review

23 January 2014
  • Summary: While the over-the-ear and on-ear noise canceling headphones are fairly common, and popular, the in-canal variety are rare. This is mostly because there haven't been too many of such earphones till now. The Bose QC20i is a rather neat option for you, if this is what you had been waiting for. Extremely effective noise cancellation makes this totally worth the money and yes, the The "I" version for iOS device users adds in-line call and volume control.
  • Pros: Excellent noise cancellation, In-line battery & circuit compartment is fairly sleek, Adequate bass response, Vocals are handled well, Comfortable tips suit long listening sessions
  • Cons: Not meant for bass addicts, Expensive

  • Conclusion: . Three hundred bucks is a lot to spend on earbuds, but for frequent fliers or anyone who spends time in noisy environments, how much is too much to be able to turn off the outside world for a while and get lost in your favorite songs?
  • Pros: Excellent noise-canceling. Aware Mode lets you hear some outside sounds at the touch of a button. Comfortable to wear. Can be used without power.
  • Cons: Noise-cancelation can bother some sensitive users.

PC Magazine
8 September 2013
  • Conclusion: The Bose QuietComfort 20 is a giant leap forward for noise cancellation earphones, and easily the most effective pair we have tested thus far.
  • Pros: The best noise cancellation circuitry on the market. Rich bass response and crisp highs. Comfortable, secure fit. Works in passive mode.
  • Cons: Sound signature is very sculpted, and not for purists. Light on accessories like extra eartips.
