Sound great but don't last long

Aaron W., Newegg
30 July 2010
  • Summary: I don't expect these things to be indestructable but come on.
  • Pros: The sound is superb for an earbud. The comfort level is okay but make sure you try the 3 different sized buds for best fit. The cord has a decent length to it. The case it comes with is nice but not pocket friendly.
  • Cons: I'm on my 2nd pair, which just broke. No matter how careful you are within 12-18 months of non-abusive use one bud or the other is going to stop working. My expectations are higher given the brand. I would go so far as to say these things are very fragile when they should be more durable.

Good but....

Cynthia S., Newegg
26 March 2010
  • Summary: Not bad but a little pricey for no isolation or cancellation.
  • Pros: Sound quality is good. Good bass. The coord is really long which is nice and it looks cool with the black and white. Comes with interchangeable ear tips and you register them and bose will send you free replacements. Bose has really good customer support.
  • Cons: Ear tips fall off rather easily, I lost a few just from putting it in and taking it out of my pocket. I thought that there would be some noise isolation since they are $100 but there is none whatsoever. On the plane I have to turn my itouch up almost full volume to hear it. After 10 months of use...

  • Summary: Good sound quality but searching for those little earbuds is really annoying. It's really easy to lose.
  • Pros: Good sound quality.
  • Cons: If you want to buy this headphone, don't forget to buy at least 10 pair of its earbuds. you'll lose them very easy trust me.

Good for Easy Listening, Bad for Active Audio

Josh M., Newegg
3 November 2009
  • Summary: All in all, these are a great set of headphones if you use them in a relaxed and non-active environment. The sound quality is great and consistent with BOSE products. If you need a pair for working out at the gym or other active pursuits, don't bother with these headphones, you will be disappointed...
  • Pros: Compact Ear buds deliver big sound, deep bass, and great highs. Great for casual listening at the airport, chilling in your favorite recliner, or for low-impact activities. Silicone earpieces are comfortable and keep the sound in your ear with impressive clarity.
  • Cons: Poor for active listening (ex. gym workout, running, outdoor sports, etc). Ear buds fall out of ears at the first sign of sweat and won't stay put when doing and sort of moving around. Earpieces tend to get dirty and need regular cleaning. I had some issues after about a year with the sound in on...

Amazing Sound + Comfort - Defective Cord = 3 Eggs

Darren N., Newegg
9 September 2009
  • Summary: Takes a bit of time to find the correct ear bud size for your ears. I ended up using a large in one ear and a medium in another, I guess my ears are slightly different in size...
  • Pros: Amazing sounds, from high to low you won't be disappointed. You can really hear every little drop of sound in all of your music, it is truly fantastic. The comfort of these things is unbelievable. I can have them in my ears all day long, even wear them to bed and not have a problem.
  • Cons: HUGE CON!!!!!! The cord on this thing is known to be defective at the joint where it connects to your audio device. After 6 months to a year, the audio will cut out intermittently on the left headphone (for me at least). The way to fix this is to jiggle the cord a little and then it works as prom...

After 6 months, its time for a review

Anonymous, Newegg
5 September 2009
  • Summary: I'm ditching mine and looking to upgrade
  • Pros: They are decent sound quality, i was not wow'ed or anything but their ok, not worth the price though. I dont know what else to say about it, a little bit better bass than those cheapo $6 ones you get at walgreens but quality aside from bass is about the same.
  • Cons: They get tangled up like crazy, i hate fiddling with them each time to straighten them out and find the left and right ear peice. Comfort is just OK, you need to take them out for a break now n then as it gets bothersome.

not worth the price

Miklos S., Newegg
21 March 2009
  • Summary: the sound quality is amazing, can't argue that as for the construction & durability of the product, its simply not worth it
  • Pros: -great sound quality
  • Cons: -the cable began to fray after like 2-3 months of normal usage -no sound isolation...inexcusable at this price level -jack degenerated pretty fast too, its poorly constructed imo

$40 headphones + $50 b/c they are bose

Anonymous, Newegg
1 January 2009
  • Summary: Sound quality is a subjective subject. I'm no audiophile, but I found these to be a tad worse than my previous headphones, which cost me $40. But that's what I've come to expect from bose, decent products w/ a price-tag at least 2x it's proper place.
  • Pros: Powerful bass, clear lows, fairly comfortable, decent overall sound quality when equalizer settings properly compensate for the earphones intrinsic weaknesses
  • Cons: Such as lacking clarity in the highs and mids. I have to boost the treble with these, and it doesn't sound as good as it should for this price. No noise isolation to speak of.

Not worth the price

Siddharth K., Newegg
19 December 2008
  • Summary: Dont think this really starts to show its best with the tracks I have.
  • Pros: Works, sounds great. Holder thing to hang it around your neck is pretty nice.
  • Cons: Not sure its worth the price. Black and white cable is aesthetically annoying. Not that great in noisy environments, as the relatively loose fit does not reduce ambient sound at all. This may be good if you want to hear the sundry noise in the world outside but it masks the great sound these head...

You get what you paid for!

Branden C., Newegg
20 April 2008
  • Summary: You get you what pay for. If your looking for some descent headphones that dont have a really strong sound output these will prolly be what your looking for.
  • Pros: They do have a bose quality, comes with a descent case and very good support from Bose. Seem tolerable to the things me and my grandmother through at it and they still work fine.
  • Cons: The ear tips that came with the package were terrible, i had to get some replacements and they work so much better than the originals. The lanyard also isnt that good it falls off very easily and is hard to keep track of. The volume could be increased in them a bit! These things tangle easily and...
