Excerpt: After three years of heavy use, the cable to the earphones is frayed from top to bottom of cable. The copper- wires are bare, still works. The rubber covering on the cable is "melting" off. For the cost price of $[$], I expected better. My other cheap earphones for $10, are still good as new.
Summary: Really quite disappointed with these. I was after some headphones that would stand up to running, and be good for my 4 hour daily commute, and these seemed to be the best about. However I struggled with getting the fit right in my ears. Tried a few of the other sizes, but the size of the bud itself seems quite large, and still felt like it was going to pop out of my ear. However I decided to road test them on a walk into town.
Summary: Firstly they are very comfortable, best ive tried. but now the bad things. Highs and mids sound good but dont seem to get the bass i expected, tried the different size tips to see if they sealed better to get more bass, but no luck. Got some in ear headphones i've had a few years and paid 25% the price of these and they out preform them by a mile. Also i have to have volume much higher to hear the bose. Sorry they are going back first thing in the morning.
Summary: These headphones are the worst headphones i've ever tried. Unlike most earbuds i've had before these barely go in your ear. This means unless you have them really loud you hear all the noise around you which drowns out the music. They are also really big and awkward. If you use these in a very quiet setting they sound alright, anywhere else they sound awful.
Summary: Bought these after reading the review from another AC/DC fan.Unfortunately I found the in-ear phones were quite loose (yes I did find the right size tip) and just rested in the ear,not right inside, consequently the sound was nowhere near loud enough (you can't listen to hard rock/heavy metal music softly!) and I would have had to turn the volume up to maximum which is not a good idea. Also, the sound appeared to be very "muffled"no real clarity to it.
Summary: I couldn't get these to fit properly, I tried all of the 6 different tips included. The sound is also mediocre, I got a Klipsch s41 instead and they blow these away both in fit and sound quality. Lack of noise isolation also means you can't hear anything if you happen to be using them in the city with all the noise around you.
Summary: I purchased these yesterday. Went home and plugged them into my ipod. Over all sound was pretty decent. Respectable lows, decent mids and highs that mixed well with the overall in ear. The problem was the construction. The left ear stopped working after half an hour. At the hour point it almost seemed liked the drivers inside were blown. Tried a friends pair and sounded great. I think i just got a bad pair.
Summary: I was expecting the product to be built well and last a bit longer than typical ear buds. This is not the case, these headphones sound great but are extremely poor in quality, they simply stopped functioning in the left ear bud after about a year just like every other ear bud on the market. Bose refused to replace these under warranty because they claimed it was due to aggressive use, when in fact the only place I use them is at a computer desk.
