Excerpt: I haven't used the Quiet Comfort Bose but these did block out right much outside noise during airline travel. The quality is very good. In addition, if using one of the Apple i____ products, the controls allowed through the in-line microphone are an excellent feature.
Pros: Comfortable, Great Sound Quality, Quality Microphone
Excerpt: These Bose headphones were a bargain at staples with the $30 off the regular price. Bose is number one in sound quality as far as I'm concern. Tried other brands and although some were very good you can definitely hear the difference with Bose. The fit around the ear is comfortable and not heavy or tight. Although these were not the noise cancelling they are very good at keeping out the background noise.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to Use, Efficient, Quality Construction, Reliable
Excerpt: Bose is Bose...the headphones are ok. With all the new headphones from competitors Bose really needs to step their game up in 2014. A stronger construction of the body of the headphones would be a good start.
Summary: Been ordering from Crutchfield for almost 20 years and I don't have anything but positive things to say about them. Saw the headphones went on sale and Crutchfield gladly refunded me the difference (60 days to do so). Class act as always.
Summary: The AE2i very ironically is the first headphone I've purchased in over a year (at least 30 headphones) that had such a good balance that I didn't feel the need to use any EQ. The overall sound quality isn't significantly better than the best $200 USD headphones given any EQ adjustments for the other headphones, but the combination of good balance, excellent soundstage, very good portability and outstanding comfort gets a highly recommended from me.
