Summary: I bought these for listening to music while traveling - was attracted by the lack of wires, but was really surprised to find I could use them for conference calls on my cellphone with the built in mike. Disappointed that I can't use them while they are being charged - can't imagine that is very difficult to do. Also had a tough time trying to find drivers to pair with my laptop - had to buy a Bluetooth receiver and laptop pairing is not as simple as with a mobile device.
Pros: Clear Signal, Good Sound, Good Volume Control, Lightweight, Long Battery Life
Summary: I am an audiophile. Let me start out by saying, this Bose is a bit weak on sound. Not as crisp and dynamic as corded Bose headphones. Nonetheless, this is a great product. It syncs with my iphone 5 and iPad mini flawlessly. It takes almost no time to switch from one device to the other, and Iphone goes from phone conversation to music with no lag time. I wish it had come with hard case, instead it comes with a cloth.. bag.. I recommend buying a proper headphone case.
Summary: Of course we expect great sound from Bose. This headset did not disappoint. With these I hear the nuances of familiar recordings that I have never heard before. Very reasonably priced vs. other bluetooth or wireless headphones. Very versatile, too, with the option of using a hardwired adapter (included). I can use these headphones for SO many different things.
Summary: Everything else is Bose quality, sound is richer in better quality and details, bluetooth connection works flawlessly with my iPhone 4s and other devices, but the volume is way subpar, the sound is really tinny, my iphone earbuds are even louder. For that, I could only give it a 4-star.
Summary: Comfort - 5 stars - lightweight, don't pinch, not too big, and don't get hot. Appearance - 4 stars - the bluetooth dongle just doesn't seem necessary, but maybe that design is what keeps them lightweight. Sound quality - I'll defer to the audiophiles but it is the great sound and noise cancelling I've come to expect from Bose. Case - I guess they're cutting costs; they came with no case!
Awesome Headphones, but Pricey Unless You Need Bluetooth

Summary: These are my new go to headphones, and are awesome. I have a few complaints (below), but highly recommend them if you are looking for a pair of solid, good sounding bluetooth headphones. What I like: + They look great, and are super comfortable. Sleek, not too big, stylish, not much heat retention - no complaints at all on design or comfort. They're a little too big for a work out, but just right for the house. + Great sound, and great noise cancellation.
Nice headphones overall considering they're Bluetooth

Summary: Pros: Lightweight, Good Sound Quality (not Great, but Good), Comfortable, Easy to Use, Works Great with iPhone and iPad. Cons: Sound Quality not as good as my wired headphones (Bose QuietComfort and Ultrasone - but I wasn't really expecting it to be), price (pretty pricey compared to wired headphones - I think you're really paying for Bluetooth here). One other big con. I can't get consistent sound quality when using with my MacBook Pro.
Comfortable to wear, pleasant sound, and easy to use

Summary: What works well: ++ Sharp looking. Even the microphone is discreet. ++ Pleasant sound. Clear sound with decent bass. ++ Comfortable. Even after long listening periods. ++ Flexible. Can be used hardwired. ++ Decent volume. Sounds louder when hardwired. ++ Good controls. Buttons are all logically placed. ++ Paired easily with my smartphone. So far, I have not found anything to complain about. The removal of the headset mic is a bit tricky, but that's probably a good thing.
Summary: I've always been a fan of headphones and I've always had a fetish for headphones. I know, its kinky and it is bad, but I just can't help myself. I may need an headphone intervention but I would never pass up an opportunity to review a pair of cans. I have many pairs of headphone, each with there own speciality. I would call myself a mid-fi'er. I love my music to be enjoyable to listen to with no specific part of it missing.
Good sound, clever design, and some room for improvement

Summary: The Bose AE2w are Bose's new over the ear closed headphones. They are not noise-cancelling, like their most popular model; just plain headphones. The design is very clever: all the electronics are contained in a small module connected to the left ear cup. It can be removed and replaced by a headphone cord (supplied) which in effect turns the AE2w into an AE2.
