Buy new not refurb

ducati916rdr, Ebay
9 December 2012
  • Summary: I bought two of these, they were seller refurbished and I believe the manufacturer for Blue Ant had quality control issues. One had a bad microphone location and the other a bad speaker. beyond this,I understand they are very good devices. Buy first hand not refurb.

"Works great when it works"

kwhatley, CNET
17 February 2012
  • Pros: Rugged. Good wind noise reduction. Fits well in ear. Announces name of caller. Have to download list of phone contacts to it. Do other bluetooth's require this? If a new person is calling you it reads the phone number.
  • Cons: The voice that announces the caller is the absolute WORST thing I've ever heard. I thought is was gibberish the first two weeks I had it. Periodically drops the connection to my phone too. VERY annoying.

Hey Tony323, CNET

  • Pros: East to install, Text to speech and caller name announce is a GREAT feature for when your driving and can't pick up your phone to see who is calling you. Sound quality is great, loud enough, clear sound when windy, callers never complained about noise in
  • Cons: Connections problems with the Android LG G2x. Always had to turn it off and turn it back on again to get a good connection. After awhile and the phone would ring, I WAS NOT ABLE TO ANSWER MY CALLS with this unit - very annoying. When using voice recog

"Perfectly Adequate and almost worth the wait"

Shadwlk, CNET
23 June 2010
  • Pros: Placement of microphone better than V1. There does seem to be increase in call clarity. Paired with LG VX10000. Phone understands commands most of the time.
  • Cons: Gels come off too easily and collect dust and pet hair. Only small subset of commands compared to V1. On/Off slide switch too stiff. With Gels installed button bar difficult to operate. Have not gotten caller announce to work yet.
