Conclusion: Wanted cans that wouldn't cost a bundle but still sound nice. No booming bass! Something I could listen to while not disturbing the rest of the house. Plug them into my CD player (Pioneer Elite) direct or amp (HK PM645). They do sound different between the 2. The amp is more rounded and fuller. These are "voiced" similar to my Cain & Cain Abby's. Enjoyable and not fatiguing. Friend with other high end equipment was also impressed. Great value and would highly recommend.
Summary: This is a truly great closed-back headphone with natural open and airy sound suited perfectly for large orchestras, chamber music, acoustic jazz etc. The isolation is really great both in and out. Compared to similarly priced closed-back ATH-M50 a lot better isolation. DT660 is very easy to drive. It sounds fairly good from an android phone and even better from a computer. The bass is much better when driven by a real headphone amp.
Pros: Nice tonal balance, great mids, soundstaging, imaging, isolation, comfort
Summary: I bought the product 3 months ago. Beyerdynamic DT660 Premium Edition is fantastic headphone. Very natural sound for the price. İt has flat sound but dont tired of listening to music. May sound a bit harsh treble. Give yourself time to get used to your ears. According to closed headphones, with fairly large stage. DT660 has a larger scene and bigger than DT770. DT 660's isolation is considered good enough.
Pros: Very Good Sound, Natural and Flat Sound, For Classical and Jazz Music
Cons: Is not suitable for every type of music, may sound a bit harsh highs
dynamics are very good making them best for classical orchestral music

Summary: Broadly, I agree with the 5 star reviews. The sound is a little on the warm side, bass is tight and engaging but not overwhelming, dynamics are very good making them best for classical orchestral music. Having said that, I listen to a lot of rock and folk and that sounds great too, and the sound insulation makes them perfect for Netflix while your other half is watching Coronation Street.
Summary: Compared to other Beyer Dynamic headphones, such as the DT 990 and 770, these headphones are very disappointing. They have a very plasticy feel to them, the bass is non-existent and the highs and mids are very harsh. They went straight back into the box after 5 minutes of testing.
Summary: Great sound at an affordable price. The build quality is also excellent. These are the best head phones I have had and am impressed by the clear sound especially flac files played through my Cowon X7 player. Superb.
Summary: "Really happy with this purchase. Firstly the build quality is high, no flimsy bits, all very solidly made. The sound quality is fantastic. Very clear, clean sound. Comfort is fine, the headphones are quite llarge and bulky but comfortable. These will last me years.
