Summary: Sound: Overall good sounding. My DT880 might sound somewhat more refined in the mids and highs, but in the lows and especially in the low-lows the DT770 beat em.
Pros: Very comfy / Overall good sound quality / Nice lows / Price
Summary: I just got my pair, and I can say that it was well worth the money I paid for it. I have a homemade discrete amp to drive them which makes everything sound brilliant.
Pros: Pretty big soundstage for closed back. Tight, punchy bass, nice highs, super comfortable. Good bang for buck.
Cons: Mids are a bit neglected, cable is integrated
Summary: A good quality product suitable for recording studio levels with closed back at a reasonable price. Although a little plasticy for me the receiptent was thrilled.
Summary: These are the 80 Ohm version so are a little less sensitive than lower impedance cans or IEMs and therefore need a decent amp to make the most of what they offer.

Summary: First things first: I believe beyer DT 880 (600) are definitely better cans, and the jury is still out on AKG K 701. That being said, 770 pro are my current favorites.
