Summary: There's a lot said on this forum about these cans. Nearly all is positive, which was also the reason for buying them. My conclusion: they REALLY need burn-in and they are fine, but not that good as some here state. Don't get me wrong, I'm an Audio Technica lover, but maybe I was expecting too much. My main cans are W1000.
Pros: nicely built, low profile look, yet distinguised, fine mids
Summary: Not much to say, it is better than other entry on ear headphones in how neautral the sound is. But some other headphones in the same range can have a more fun sound and better comfort. But when compared to some over the ear design headphones in the same price range the sound can feel abit lacking in my opinion. The sound is accurate and fast and quite neutral sounding but abit tiresome with the highs. But it is a really cheap headphone so it is worth the money imo.
Pros: Nice sound and quite neutral.
Cons: Not soft enough on the ears compared to other on ears.
Summary: I won't repeat the praise others have given - I think they sound very good and this is compared to the pair of Sennheiser PX200 I had before, which when I first bought I thought sounded like the best thing since sliced toast, but these sound even better, so must be like sliced toast with jam on top!
Summary: These are a lovely sounding pair of headphones. They have a well rounded and punchy sound and because they are closed backed block a decent amount of sound coming in when used as a commuter. The only complaint I have with these is that the headband is a little uncomfortable because it is just made of plastic and not very adjustable. For the money, these are an excellent purchase.
Summary: I can see why these got such a good review in 'What Hifi?' - they are light with excellent sound. Another bonus is that they keep the sound in your ears, rather than let most of it spill out and annoy other folks on the train. The only downside is the rather flimsy cabling.
Summary: Most people write reviews within the first hour of getting their product but in the case of headphones this is probably not the best approach. After a few weeks I don't think I've gotten the full burn in period as I haven't used them constantly everyday, but in general they are getting progressively better. The sound on them is amazing for portable headphones, they can definitely compete with many non portable ones!
Summary: Bought these about 2 weeks ago and have been using them since, great sound quality and clarity, bass is very good going well with my dubstep and drum and bass music selection, the one problem is that when i have them on my right ear hurts after a short while no matter which side the headphones are on,i dont know whether it is just me but it is very annoying as i want to hear music for extended periods of time but i cannot do so anyway, overall great product but let down...
