Summary: I can only speak for the earphones I purchased, but they were awful quality, in that they broke within a week of being delivered. The left ear is now much quieter than the right, a problem you might expect from an extremely cheap pair of earphones, but not these. During the time I have owned them, they have seldom left my desk, and I can't think of anything I could have done to break them. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
Summary: I am the most indecisive person in the world, so I must have picked 20 pairs of headphones, read the reviews then convinced myself to buy them only to shy away at the last minute when something else caught my eye. I'm a magpie of the consumer world, but I thankfully just bit the bullet on these.
Summary: Audio: - Find a more detailed reviews of the sound quality online. These are very good overall and excellent for the price, with punchy bass, good mids and nice highs. - Very little leakage. Even at max volume (when inserted) other people shouldn't be able to hear the music, even if nearby. So you won't annoy people on the bus or tube! Remote/Mic (Android compatible!): - The remote (volume slider and single button) work perfectly with Android.
Summary: I must admit I was expecting a bit more from these earphones. The sound is very crisp and clear and there is a good separation. The bass is lacking a bit of punch. The size of the set is also worth considering. I have chosen the smallest earpieces and they are a little to big for me, even though I am an average size man. I bought the set for running and they stay in place when moving about but they jump up and down due to their size.
Love the sound, just couldn't get a comfortable fit!

Summary: One of the best earphones I've ever used sound-wise. Immersive / vivid Powerful Great dynamic sound with a resounding thump in bass when needed Great price, certainly worth more! Solid cable However.. Sound isolation could be better. Used them on the streets and on the underground tube in London. I managed to get a very secure fit but at the expense of my own comfort. The ear buds just hurt me.
Summary: These inears are solid, after tweaking equalizer settings its as good as my old senheiser over ear monitors. The v shape out of box sound can be modified, victory. I first had too small plugs on, glad I could change to larger and immediately sound improved. Nice it can be customized. Made a phonecall and people couldnt realize I was calling with a headset, victory. Microphone is good.
Summary: The sound from these headphones is very good indeed but unfortunately they didn't work properly with my Cowan mp3 player which I bought them for. They worked with my old sony walkman but I had to press the in-line phone button continuously for proper sound through the Cowan player. Sent them back and amazon refunded my payment promptly.
Summary: I have been looking to replace my Sennheiser cx300 with some earphones that apart from good reviews on sound quality had; a flat cable, mic and controller and cost <€100. These fit very well these criteria. Sound quality was as expected from the numerous reviews. The cable is flat but not as wide and rigid as say a-jays. The cable doesn't tangle at all, the plastic seem to be coated with non stick material. The fit is great especially with comply tips.
Summary: Audio-Technica ATH-CKX9IS is simply how modern headphones should be: Great sound, amazing design and functionality, high quality parts and affordable price. Yes, there are indeed 1000 thousand pounds beasts out there, but those beasts require equally expensive amps and dacs, many times hundreds pounds of worth cables etc etc. In the end, you pay hundreds more just to get a slightly noticeable increase in quality which most ears could not really perceive.
