Summary: Relieved that spending that amount of $ for earbuds worked out great.
Pros: Was a little apprehensive about all the highly positive reviews. But these earbuds sound just great. I use them at my desk in a cube farm with constant low-level background people noise and these buds block enough of that. I futzed with the EQ on my iPod Nano and found "Small Speakers" sounds most natural for the music I listen to, mostly rock and alternative. I don't use them while exercising so can't comment on that.
Cons: Another review mentioned cord noise when moving around and I can confirm there is a bit of that. Not an issue for how/where I'm using them.
Summary: I am glad I purchased these, it is too easy to forget how great songs can sound when you wear lesser quality headphones, and saves you from getting weird looks from using the arger studio ones.
Pros: At first I wasn't that impressed with the sound, especially after reading so many great reviews. Then i decided to try on my old $20 headphones, and bam! there was an immediate difference. The old head phones sounded dull and blah in comparison. However, I still was not satisfied as I read others describing it as wearing larger earmuff headphones. I decided to change the ear piece to the largest size, and wham! there was another jump in sound. I then compared them to ...
Cons: The larger ear-buds irritated my ears at first, but after the third day i got use to them.
Pros: Amazing sound quality, easily beating out several pair of over-the-ear studio headphones in the same price range (Pioneer, Bose, Sennheiser). 'Clarion' is the word i would use to describe the highs. You can feel the rumble when they hit lows even on a cell phone, and they handle my home theater's bass control being maxed out better than my 2x 12in woofers do. overall, extremely impressed. A-T won themselves a lifetime customer on these.
Cons: the cord length is my only complaint. without the extension, it's just too short. with, it's just too long.
Summary: The buds are bigger and give these a close to headphone sound without any need for amplification on my iPhone for them to fully be themselves.. It comes with a shorter wire with extension option. Different size buds for ears that will fit your ears like a glove. Even though they are heavier than the CX150's they do not fall out.
Pros: The ATH-CKM55BK are very detailed sound that brings a very punctual bass sound without being muffled, siding a bit toward clarity. A punctual bass that doesn't muddy any of the mid or highs. I'd say the mids really stand out in front and the highs do not pierce. You get the punch without blurring all the other music even listening to very hard fast music. Can recommend these to audiophile lovers.
Cons: Got it on sale and for the price I can't think of a CON.
Pros: They sound very, very clear. I can pick out each instrument from the music individually. I listened to a lot of my favorite songs and when listening to them through these ear buds, they sound entirely different. It's like they're not even the same songs. I hear sounds and details that I never heard before. This is especially true for my rock and heavy metal music, but even some of my hip hip and rap music have subtle details that never stood out to me until I heard th...
Summary: its mostly the way i used these that killed them premature.
Pros: These have the BEST sound I have ever owned, i work nights so these are my most important tool. They adapt to any music i put to them, from 40's jazz to modern dub step, they took it all. the design of the buds allow you to really ram them in your ear and really let the bass out, it takes some hardcore force to rip these out of your ear. Yes i have heard others, and these will out perform any overhead head phone by a mile.
Cons: Their durability for $65 is poor, after daily use of 6 hours for 5 months, and constant warping around my music player, sitting in my cars cup holder and being used and abused, the left bud wiring shorted about a inch from the bud, it was one of those pesky shorts were you couldn't single out trough knotting or otherwise evasive action, so i tried to redo the wiring, i couldn't figure out the type of wire these use, so i just bought a second pair becasue of i only hav...
Summary: The bottom drawer of my bedside table is nearly full of just earbugs. In the past, Sony seems to have been my preference. I was very disappointed with my Klypski. They make great speakers for large sound systems but their earbugs and a little lacking. Boise does not even complete. The pure clarity of sound with little, if any, distortion is wonderful with respect to the audio-technica Sonicpro. I was both surprised and very pleased with this puchasd.
Pros: These Sonicpro headphones have to be the best I have ever owned. The sound clarity and detail from low, mid and high ranges are the best I have heard to date, even from earbuds selling at twice the price. I am really, really picky when it comes to over the ear or in the ear headphones.
Cons: Not really a con, but the cord on these headphones are really well built; thus, a bit thick and need some time to break-in properly.
Summary: Buy them if you insist on clarity and accurate representation, with little to no coloration these are fantastically neutral headphones.
Pros: The phenomenal Highs Mids and Bass of these little buds is truly impressive. The have an outstanding clarity and separation. I can hear the instruments on stage as if I were standing amid them, the buds accurately portray the mellow sound of R&B as well as convey the high intensity energy of even my most demanding techno and rock. I can't say enough about the sound these little ear buds put out. A purchase well worth the money. I also own a set of over the ear closed ...
Cons: I see no real cons unless you can't get one of the 4 size of buds to accurately fit your inner ear. I tried all 4 and found that the mid created the best seating and seal to give coherency and bass response.
