Summary: Good for general listening, terrific natural sound. Balanced for listening not recording, but the bass is not overbearing-it does capture a full frequency range. Cord is very short, but it does come with an extension. I prefer as few connecting points as possible though.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight
Summary: I own six different pairs of Audio Technica headphones/earbuds. My favorite has always been the ATH-ESW9A which I think are the most musical portable headphones out there. These have the same musicality at a fraction of the price. I like this design better than the other AT earbuds I own and find them a lot more comfortable. No, these are not close to my AKG 701s with a dedicated headphone amp, but they create a very enjoyable sound paired with a portable player.
Summary: The frequency response range is excellent, better than any other in-ear headphones available at this time. The design is excellent. It is easy to know which channel is left or right, even in the dark. This makes the headphones the best ones to use during sleep time. No other brand even came close to the comfort of these while going to sleep! I bought two of them, one for sleeping and one for my Ipod. I use both every single day.
Pros: Frequency response, In-ear design, No Volume Control
