Excerpt: I use these while playing/recording drums. It is heresy to some to use noise-cancelling headphones while tracking. I don't care. I love these. They isolate me very well from bleed-through from the drums as I'm playing. Through the headphones I hear what's getting to the microphones much better because they isolate so well. And I don't have to turn up the volume on the headphones near as much because they cancel out the external drum noise so well.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound
Excerpt: These Audio-Technica work better than the Bose. We have 3 loud rotory drive chillers in our power plant. We bought the Bose noise cancelling head phones 8 years ago. Now we have the Audio-Technica noise cancelling head phones, and there is a difference. Also the price is a whole lot less than the Bose.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Value, Lightweight, Makes Me Look Good Too
Excerpt: I am no audiophile so take this for what it's worth. I was using UE6000s, which are great-sounding but the NC is poor. These destroy the UEs in NC and might sound a little better (wider soundstage). They do not match Bose in NC. The case is large and I'm unsure I would carry-on such large item on a flight just for the NC.
Excerpt: I use these headphones at every opportunity I can, which usually means in the office or at home. I listen to indie/alternative rock and EDM, and I think these headphones are versatile enough to provide me with the sound I'm looking for in both genres. The case allows for easy transportation without fear of accidentally scuffing/breaking the headphones. Also don't hold these badboys back--pair them with a headphone amp!
Excerpt: Very comfortable. They goes over entire ear, so they block large chunk of noise just by that. NC is not intrusive. Compare to headphones from company which "makes better sound through marketing" ATH sounds superbly. If you do not want to sacrifice sound quality for NC, this is perfect choice. Down side - they are quite big. But they come with very nice semi hard case, they work on AAA (which last quite long) and comfy on train or plain.
