Excerpt: Have had other noise canceling headphones before but only the over ear type. These are not as near effective. Maybe I just got a poor quality set. My wife has the same set and is very satisfied. Next time I will bite the bullet and get a Bose if I am looking for an in ear phone
Excerpt: I bought these to use on the plane to eliminate the noise of the jet engines. They worked pretty well but there was still a little bit of noise when the noise cancellation was turned on. That said, I guess that's about the best you can get with earbuds.
Summary: Best accessory to bring on a plane. I bought them 4 years ago and they're still working perfectly. Good build and sound quality, but you can get more for the price if you don't care about the active noise cancelling.

Summary: I bought it to survive flights. It works. It won't stop the full spectrum of engine noise (like deep engine ruble), but stops the annoying and tiring part and makes human voices barely audible.
Summary: Block out some background noise and work more or less as expected. Wasn't expecting them to filter out voices in the background after reading up on noise cancelling headphones. Work well with reducing the engine noise in any form of transport.
Summary: Although the sound quality of these ear-buds is quite decent, I think most people who decide to buy this product would do so for its non-cancelling capabilities... at least I did. However, if you are buying it for this reason, do not bother as it does not work.
