Excerpt: I tried them out on a flight from San Diego to Atlanta then to the Caribbean, noise canceling worked great. I would say it blocked out 80% of the noise and we were seated right next to the exit doors to the wings and the engine of the aircraft ( an old 767 and I an Airbus a 320 ) It will definitely...
Excerpt: I use these for long-distance airline flights.
They do not block as much noise as types with a full over-the-ear cup, but that are small, light, and comfortable. The ANC is quite effective for earbuds. Exactly what I was looking for. Not too big, not too weak, just right.
Excerpt: I used this for when I took the subway to and from work to decrease the noise. Although it didn't take away all of the noise, it certainly did help a bit.At a price of $ it was a decent buy, not particularly mind blowing though which is somewhat expected due to the better active-noise cancelling...
Excerpt: I bought this product because it had pretty good ratings overall and the the price was right. I bought these specifically for airplane use. They did an okay job canceling out the airplane noise on a recent round-trip 2-hour flight, but it still wasn't enough for me.
Excerpt: These buds are great for blocking speech range noise. I wear them in a room with a running house fan and that fan sounds like nothing when these are on.
I had a pair before that died and still went back to these for the price--and the fact that it was covered under the warranty.
Summary: I travel for work and could never hear my electronic device with the noise of the jet engines with regular earbuds. I decided to try something with noise-canceling and after quite a bit of looking settled on the Audio Technical ATH-ANC233 Earbuds.
Summary: If you are going to sit in the back of a B747 for 12 hours or so you need some noise reduction, these are great - comfortable, quiet and good sound reproduction. All in all, a great purchase.
Pros: I bought these to replace a pair of damaged over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones which I used for travelling. These earbuds are surprisingly good at reducing the aircraft noise while reproducing mp3s and aircraft movie audio. A big plus is that they are considerably smaller and lighter to pac...
Cons: Not quite as much passive or active noise reduction as my previous over the ear muffs but more than adequate for my purposes.
