Summary: One of my best buys. This was well packaged. The headset looks great in red and black with the ROG logo on the side of the ear covers adds that extra touch. The added carry case, removable microphone, braided cable and the ROG Spitfire software enhance this product. The availability of different sound effects makes it adjustable to suit gaming and music. I have not tried a dvd yet.
Summary: After reading a few reviews I got the impression that these headphones were pretty good. They are not wrong. I did however experience a rather underwhelming first use. This is mainly due to my inability to adjust the headset around my rather large head and ears. Once I had gotten the hang of seating the very comfortable ear cushions my experience transformed from a tinny rather rubbish sound to one of sheer awesomeness.
Summary: Both the microphone connector and the cable connector to the left earpiece need VERY firm pressure to fully mate them. I spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to use the headset for web conferencing before I noticed that the cable connector was about 1 mm short of its socket. Once pressed fully home, the performance was excellent.
I have had a bad experience but great sound quality

Summary: I ordered this headset on the first of September and it was late (by 20 days). The day I got them I plugged them into my computer and they were AMAZING quality with the 7.1 surround sound I could hear footsteps on TF2 clearly and smoothly, how ever that night I put them in the carry case and the next day I took them out and they only would work in one ear so I am going to replace it because it is very good

Summary: So far, I cannot complain. The ANC (active noise cancelling) works in a strange way when I tested it out by asking someone to talk to me and it sort of relieves pressure off your ears when turned on. I find it great. Comfort is not really an issue. It's just the way my glasses are that it pressures them down. Fine otherwise. The accessories that come with this item are great and are essentially useful! For example the cable tidy and airplane adapter.
Summary: Sound quality is great but I've noticed loud sounds and quiet sounds have trouble differentiating from each other. Might be something to do with the loudness equalisation release time settings. Surround sound will work without the USB Spitfire when using a good surround card like the Creative X-FI which can output better quality audio.
Summary: When I got the headset I did run into problems with skype and sound leaking through to the mic, but I fixed this by simply lowering the mic volume. Lower it doesnt effect the quality though, because as far as my friends anf I can tell, the mic is fairly sensetive and sounds good. Build quality is excellent and i won't be breaking these any time soon, by accident. Now, for the sound... Bare in mind I'm a audiophile, so very slight things are super noticeable to me..
Summary: I grabbed a set of these as part of a new pc build. I tested them out playing battlefield 3 and they really are awesome. I turned on the ANC and I literally couldnt hear my daughter speaking to me from just a couple of feet away. I was a bit sceptical of the virtual surround but it turns out the sound quality is excellent.
