Summary: Good for the money but not totally noise cancelling. Worked well though on a recent long haul flight. Handy that they fold up quite small in their case. Please note this comes with the aircraft adapter needed. I had already purchased the adapter separately as I don't think this was mentioned in the product description.

Summary: Bloody good headphones for under £50 - as good as if not better then my Sony ones which cost me several hundred pounds. makes a massive difference on planes and trains, I can actually listen to my audio books without the sound cranked all the way up.
They do a good job of canceling out engine noise and fans etc
26 July 2014
Summary: Brought these for my trip to Vegas. Wanted something to cancel out the background noise on the plane but not to break the bank balance. They do a good job of canceling out engine noise and fans etc. But if you are looking for something to cancel out load music or talking these probably are not the best as the pads are small and don't provide the best fit around the ears. Would still buy good price and look very good.
Good sound quality but noise reduction suffers intereference

Summary: These headphones have a lot going for them, they are lightweight and compact and have a good sound with decent passive background noise reduction. The noise cancelling can be effective but seems prone to electrical interference from devices such as mobile phones or laptops.
Summary: Recently indulging in audio books, but often having trouble listening to them on the noisy underground, I bought these headphones for the "active noise cancelling" feature and have been pleasantly surprised by it's effectiveness. Using the headphones on the tube, trains and aeroplanes the noise cancelling has consistently done a fine job in counteracting the low frequency noises that had previously been plaguing me when trying to listen to dialogue.
These have a major flaw and Asus don't want to know

Summary: I decided to give these a go as an introduction to noise cancelling headphones. While sitting in the garden they worked great, for the price I was happy with the effect. A month after buying them I used them on the train for the first time during the morning rush hour and this showed up a major flaw. My train journey starts from the outskirts of zone 6 and finishes in central London.
Summary: I wanted some noise cancelling headphones, but was not prepared to part with the cash for some Bose. I know that they are a great product and have brilliant sound quality, but for the number of times I use them it was not cost effective. Then I found these on Amazon and what a bargain they are. The sound quality is great and they certainly perform well.
Summary: Tried these during a flight from Helsinki to London and back. One AAA battery lasted easily this trip. Noise cancelling was reasonable and improved listening / movie watching experience vastly alhough at this price range You cannot expect Bose-like cancelling.
Summary: I sold this within a month of buying it as the noise cancellation is below average at best. Buy the sennhesiser if you have a fixed budget but the Bose I ended up with are the best. I even sleep with them on.
