Summary: I really like the way this headset feels. Soft and secure without the headache from having your head compacted between the earphones. Most headsets I have tried give you a headache from how strongly they squeeze my head. The Astro A50 design makes it light as a feather and more comfortable than any Turtle Beach headset I've worn. The 7.1 surround sound is flawless. This enables me to pinpoint the enemies location no matter where they are around me.
Price is on the high end but worth every penny. Though swappable batteries would be preferable.

Summary: This refurbished asteo a50 looks and works just like the new $300 version. Beats anything out there in terms of gaming headsets, the quality is superb with great bass for those explosive momments. I literally start ducking when hearing gunshots fly buy in battlefield 4 on my xb1 Though it doesn't include a swappable battery so once it dies you have to connect it to a usb port to charge (the charge cable included is too small so if you want to charge and play you'd need...
Summary: Though this is refurbished, it came in great condition. I bought refurbished because I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep these headphones. And so I would save $50 if I did keep them. The reason I wasn't sure, is because they don't have a removable mic, the side plates aren't able to be customized and you still have to be wired to a controller to use the mic. Edit : after writing this review, I realised i want to try and return this.
Summary: Fantastic sounding headset. I've gone through four other headsets in the past year and have struggled to find something that sounds amazing and that fits my head (my ears stick out a bit and tight fitting models, like the Turtle Beach X21, crushed my ears after a couple hours). After two months of deliberation I decided to bite the bullet and get these, I tried them out first from a friend and was very impressed. BUT...
Summary: The item arrived on time and in perfect shape. The packaging was not damaged and the box was brand new looking except it was missing the retail sleeve on them. Setting them up was easy as pie. By pressing two buttons, one on the headphones and the other on the transmitter you are able to pair them. This is not necessary unless you update the firmware because the headphones are all ready paired to the transmitter.
Summary: I haven't owned a huge variety of headsets but I'm extremely pleased with these. They sound better than the other's I've owned but they should for the price. The EQ settings are nice for the different audio preferences of movies vs games vs shooter type games. I did have this headset pitch a fit once when I ran the battery way too dead once-I ignored the "low batt level" beeps and even kept switching it back on when it would shut itself down until it completely quit.
Summary: Coming from Turtel Beach PX5s for 6+ years I must say sound quality is AMAZING! Build quality is great as well. I expect to be using these for another great 6+ years. Definitely switch to Astro if you haven't.
