Hear Today, Gone Tomorrow

Global Expat, Amazon
7 April 2015
  • Summary: When I first got this headset, I was overjoyed. The sound quality was really good, it was easy to setup and the headset would last 8+ hours of solid usage. But within a couple of weeks the battery life got shorter and shorter to the point where I had to have it constantly wired to be able to use it.

Horrible Mic quality ruins an otherwise-perfect headset.

Andrew, Amazon
7 March 2015
  • Summary: As has been widely noted, your voice will sound very thin and tinny while speaking through these. The headphones are very comfortable. The audio is great. Surround sounds fantastic, and other people sound very clear. But your voice to them will sound terrible.

A beautiful sounding headset spoiled by significant faults

ST "ST", Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: This headset sounds incredible. Really, the sound is utterly fantastic, both from the ears and the mic. The surround sound feeling is beautiful. It charges the headset and powers the mixamp (USB in/out, 3.5mm input and optical) from a single USB socket, no adapter needed, which is great.

Good sound, annoying high pitch squeal in left ear when no audio is playing

Michael, Amazon
12 November 2014
  • Summary: While I use the headphones daily, I get a bit annoyed by the high pitched squeal in the left ear that occurs whenever the microphone is activated by any noise. When audio is playing you can't notice the sound, but for this price that shouldn't be happening.

Shikari, Amazon
26 October 2014
  • Summary: After deciding and researching and reading reviews and recommendations, I finally decided to spend big on a good sound solution and decided to get Astro A50. I must honestly accept that in terms of Surround Sound I was expecting much more pinpointing of sound but then again Astros create Virtual...

Decent but overpriced headset with some issues.

Jesse Mawhinney "jessemawhinney", Amazon
26 August 2014
  • Summary: Get the Steelseries H Wireless headset. They are about the same price and these guys have some issues. If I charge them up all the way and unplug them from USB sometimes they will not turn off or connect to anything and you have to wait until they die. Horrible issue for such an expensive headset.

Great audio quality, but had problems.

Joyce B., Amazon
6 July 2014
  • Summary: The sound quality on this headset was incredible, and exceeded my expectations. Playing Call Of Duty I could hear footsteps, and it made it feel like you were really in the game. However, I did have several problems with the headset.

  • Summary: Ok, so i ordered these about a week ago and got them in. The first time i opened the box i got Astro A40's. I have no clue how they mixed these up but i did get the wrong headset. So i used those just to test them out and i was trying to get away from wires and stuff but i really did like the A40's.

Good sound quality but a flawed product

Amazon Customer, Amazon
24 May 2014
  • Summary: I got two of these reberbs and I have to say Astro must not run quality control on these puppies before shipping them back out. First they do not charge properly 48 hours and the yellow light that indicates charging is still on. In fact it stays on even after you unplug it.
