Summary: When I first got this headset, I was overjoyed. The sound quality was really good, it was easy to setup and the headset would last 8+ hours of solid usage. But within a couple of weeks the battery life got shorter and shorter to the point where I had to have it constantly wired to be able to use it. (This is when I discovered that the charging cable that comes with the headset is really, really short. Thankfully I had another cable I could use that was much longer.
A beautiful sounding headset spoiled by significant faults

Summary: This headset sounds incredible. Really, the sound is utterly fantastic, both from the ears and the mic. The surround sound feeling is beautiful. It charges the headset and powers the mixamp (USB in/out, 3.5mm input and optical) from a single USB socket, no adapter needed, which is great. It should be a cut and dry five stars, and if the following warnings do not apply to you then rush out and buy it immediately.
Good sound, annoying high pitch squeal in left ear when no audio is playing
12 November 2014
Summary: While I use the headphones daily, I get a bit annoyed by the high pitched squeal in the left ear that occurs whenever the microphone is activated by any noise. When audio is playing you can't notice the sound, but for this price that shouldn't be happening. They have good bass and a strong signal up to about 25 ft away. I purchased them so I could have wireless headphones while playing on my PS3 and during my PC gaming sessions chatting with friends.
Good headset, good customer support but price tag not upto the mark

Summary: After deciding and researching and reading reviews and recommendations, I finally decided to spend big on a good sound solution and decided to get Astro A50. I must honestly accept that in terms of Surround Sound I was expecting much more pinpointing of sound but then again Astros create Virtual surround sound experience and doesn't have dedicated small speakers in cups to deliver the surround sound experience.
Summary: Get the Steelseries H Wireless headset. They are about the same price and these guys have some issues. If I charge them up all the way and unplug them from USB sometimes they will not turn off or connect to anything and you have to wait until they die. Horrible issue for such an expensive headset. Also the support for them hasn't been great and other customers that actually have a serious issue say their support is awful.
Summary: The sound quality on this headset was incredible, and exceeded my expectations. Playing Call Of Duty I could hear footsteps, and it made it feel like you were really in the game. However, I did have several problems with the headset. The headset would not turn off, had a frequent audio pause, and did not work with the chat adapter (may be the chat adapter). Due to these issues, I will be buying the a40s today with hope that it does not have these problems.
Summary: Ok, so i ordered these about a week ago and got them in. The first time i opened the box i got Astro A40's. I have no clue how they mixed these up but i did get the wrong headset. So i used those just to test them out and i was trying to get away from wires and stuff but i really did like the A40's. So anyways once i noticed i got the wrong headset i reordered these and this time i did get the A50's.
Summary: I got two of these reberbs and I have to say Astro must not run quality control on these puppies before shipping them back out. First they do not charge properly 48 hours and the yellow light that indicates charging is still on. In fact it stays on even after you unplug it. This just started today, and its was the reason I replaced the first set, they NEVER charged properly until the indicator turned the proper red.
It's a good headset overall, but compared to other headsets, the price is a stretch

Summary: As a PC gamer (PC gaming related review), I have been trying to find my idea gaming headset for probably 3 years, I've tried the following: Razer Megaladon Razer Tiamat 7.1 (with Asus Xonar) Logitech G35 Logitech G930 Sennheiser PC360 (with onboard Realtek Card) Logitech G430 Corsair Vengeance 2000 (wireless) Turtle Beach XP Seven's Software/Customization: There isn't any....so...yeah.
Everything was great but the Mic. Quality was scratchy.

Summary: I dont know if this happens on PS3 or Xbox 360, but whenever I talk online, people tell me that the mic is making my voice real loud, which I'm not a loud person, and they tell me it's really scratchy. Other than that, this headset would have gotten a 5/5.
