Summary: I liked that the headset was solid and very comfortable but am annoyed by the buzzing sound.
Pros: Though the stand may feel cheap, the headset itself is solid. You can feel the quality and sturdiness of the device. I've had this for almost two years and the headset still holds up really well.
Cons: This issue will drive you mad and as of right now there is no fix: the mic gate noise (a buzzing sound that comes from the right ear cup) activates whenever you speak into the mic. Normally you won't be able to hear this if you're listening to music and the volume is above a whisper but during moments when there is no sound coming from the pc/ps4/xbox you will most definitely notice the noise. I currently have the latest firmware (which were released last year) and st...
Summary: Today I got my Refurbished A50. For a start - it's noticeably used. They have a scratches and scrapes. And now I spend a two hours already trying to get it worked with my PS4. The surround button is not turning on and I have no sound. I update headphones and mixamp to latest firmware.. I google the surround button problem and find many questions about this and not one of possible solution not works for me. Really dissapointed about this.
Summary: While I won't give a 1* review because I know Astro is capable of making good products (Love my A40's), these refurbished A50's are garbage. I was pretty excited to get these at a further discount while they were on sale and had my fingers crossed that I'd get one of the better sets, I was sorely let down. I've had these for about 3 days and they're already busted. PROS: SO COMFORTABLE.
Summary: i must give this product a two star review. i purchased these headphones in march and received a broken headset which would not charge. so amazon did a defective exchange for me. my second set looked a little scuffed and ill treated but they worked. over the last four months i have not played much xbox one but recently i have been online quite a bit for the destiny beta and my headset started acting funny.
Summary: Top quality sound no doubt. Worth $300? No way! I went through two, TWO defective units and I've finally given up on Astro. First some positives, without a doubt the most comfortable headset that has ever graced my head. They literally felt like a pillow, they just meshed right into my head, a very, very comfortable headset. The build quality is great, they feel like a nice piece of hardware. The sound quality is stellar.
Summary: I have recently purchased an Astro a50 and am using it for both my PS4 and my computer, however on both the PS4 and my computer, i hear a constant buzzing sound in my right ear. It is very annoying and I'm not sure if I can get over it. This mostly happens when the mic is down. So, I replaced a new Astro a50 headset but it's same. Astrogaming's said it's Normal. If you want this headset, Remember this issue. But, Amazon's service is Perfect!
Summary: Astro have very high quality headsets, but with my ps4 that doesn't happen, the 1st one stop working after 2 days using it, and customer service was really bad because is only by email and they said that they don't have any records of my product from amazon (seriously?) and very slow process to get my good headset.
Summary: The headset began to malfunction after only a few days. The replacement seems to be working fine, the audio the quality is great, and the unit is extremely comfortable. However, the process of getting a replacement was a nightmare. The representative would rarely return e-mails, and when they did, they would not address any of the inquiries I had made in the previous correspondence. Took two weeks to even get a response after I had sent my old unit back in.
Summary: These are not worth the $300 price tag. If the issues listed in the cons section were solved then I may think otherwise.
Pros: -The sound is wonderful on this head set and the 7.1 works well. I can hear subtle things in games that I never picked up on before. -The mic quality is wonderful - except the static it causes (see cons section) -Comes with a sturdy stand to hand the headset on -The freedom wireless provides. -Comfortable and not too tight.
Cons: -You can hear a slight buzzing in both ears from the microphone and it gets louder the higher you turn up the volume. -Very buggy!!!! They have a major issue where the headset will NOT turn off and you cannot use any volume controls or settings on the headset during this time - it just stays at a constant volume. You have to let the power fully drain and recharge them to be able to use them properly. This happens to me almost once a week. If you look through their sup...
