Summary: My 14 year old son saved up to purchase this headset on May 4 2014. He loved these and treated them like a national treasure. On June 28, 2014 they stopped working properly. We looked to return them, but the the return window expired on June 12. We cannot find any information on how we can get them replaced. As it stands, he was ripped off.
Summary: I purchased this for my PS4 and when it works, it works great! I have had an intermittent issues with the power getting stuck on. The only way to turn it off is to let the battery run completely empty. They had me send the headset back, tested it, told me it was fine and shipped it back. They said if I have the issue again they would replace it. Well of coarse it's still doing the same thing. They have me ship it back, test it, tell me it's fine, and ship it back again.
Summary: It took us three times to finally find a head set that worked properly. Customer service for Astro sucks and doesn't really help. they seem not to care about people and the fact that you spend alot of money on a pair of their head sets. send the product back to astro themselves and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong but still didn't work when we got the product. the only saving grace is that amazon has a great return policy for the idiot companies that they use.
Summary: I bought this headset it worked great the first day was really satisfied. As you get further along there is a ringing in your right ear when the mic. picks up noise a little buggy but can be worked with. I looked online and it said to update the Firmware for the Astro A50 so I did. Then it froze wouldn't turn off, wouldn't pair, just sat a red LED light on the power button. No audio was coming out either I am going to return this and change to another headset.
Summary: I just wanted to share my latest of customer service from Astro, apparently the small screws that hold the headset together eventually come loose and fall off, but when I tried to get a replacement screw that's probably only 50 cents ,they give me this response : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the email.

Summary: I bought this headset hearing how good they are, replacing my broken Tritton 720X. However I was wrong! The headset emits a loud, high-pitched, tone when the mic is on. The mic picks up this tone, transmitting it when using VOIP. This renders the headset useless, as I am not able to be heard over the tone. It sounds like I'm transmitting a flatline from a heartbeat monitor constantly over Teamspeak, Skype, or any other VOIP application.
Summary: What can I say, but in my opinion these headsets are crap. I really had high hopes for this wireless device. Most of my pro-gamers I watch stream promote the A40 so I figured I'd give these wireless versions a shot. My first Astro Gaming product. I game on PC, xbox & Playstation so this model seemed like the most versatile version. 1st shipment from amazon came quick and setup was somewhat of a breeze.
Summary: I'm dissapointed with Astro, for a 300 dollar headset anyone would think the quality of the headsets are much better than that. I'm giving them a second chance, and the second one has problems then I'm done with Astro completely.
Pros: ear cups and comfort - the foam is really soft and doesn't generate as much heat as I thought it would. So comfortable that I find myself forgetting I'm wearing it even though I'm wearing glasses while having these headphones on sound quality - listening to music is quite good on these headphones. Cons: This is where my biggest issue I experienced using this headphones. On my second day of using this expensive headset. it decided to stick a middle finger at me and stop responding to me. I was unable to shut it off via power button, the volume wheel on the headset stopped working as well, When I plug the headset into the mixamp, it doesn't connect so it couldn't recharge.
