ASTRO Gaming A50 Battlefield 4™ Edition Review

Game Chronicles
4 February 2014
  • Excerpt: Don’t judge the hardware by the software it chooses to affiliate itself with.  While Battlefield 4 continues to be a broken mess that somehow seems to get worse with each supposed patch, the good news is that relationship that game shares with the new ASTRO Gaming A50 Battlefield 4™ Edition is purely visual and for marketing purposes only.

Simply The Best

  • Excerpt: A couple weeks ago I reviewed the Skullcandy PLYR 2 Wireless Gaming Headset. As an entry-level device, it was pretty good. Getting into the wireless headset arena, cutting your cords with your computer, and experiencing good sound for $129 is not a bad deal. Almost as an afterthought, I was also sent the Astro A50 Wireless headset to review as well. Skullcandy bought Astro, so I suppose they wanted me to look at their entire product lineup.

Astro A50 Headset Review

PlayStation Universe
4 February 2013
  • Summary: Gamers know about Astro: they make headsets that are bleeding edge in terms of quality, and their A50 set is no different. They've removed all of the hassle of wires and made something that's an absolute joy to game with. Hell, I don't think O could play a game without one.
  • Pros: Stunning sound quality, 10-hour battery life, Wireless, wireless, wireless
  • Cons: Dependency on optical for audio

Astro A50 Headset Review

Strategy Gaming Online
17 August 2012
  • Excerpt: Nearly every PC accessory manufacturer out there now has some kind of sound product on the market. Corsair's got speakers and headsets, while companies that traditionally have made input devices, like Logitech and Razer, have been selling audio stuff for years. There are a lot of choices out there, but few of these products have quite the same quality as Astro - who makes little more than audio products - and their line of wired and wireless audio headsets.
  • Pros: Excellent Sound over Reliable 5.8GHz Wireless Band
  • Cons: Prohibitive Price

Test: Astro A50

xboxfront.de
27 June 2013
