Summary: I had a perfectly good set of Astro A40's and I decided to purchase a newer "refurbished" headset for my girlfriend Christmas 2014. I bought them back in September and didn't really think to make sure if this refurbished headset actually worked. I've been trying everything to get them to work. I've switched controllers, optic cords, Xbox One headset adapters, USB power cords, AUX cords, I've tried my headset now, and now nothing works.
Summary: this head set I bought and had to return them, the sound and comfort is amazing the mic is tho terrible, doesn't work, I bought this for xbox one, and I have the adapter, but the mic wasn't working so I wanted my money back and I got it back, but I would go with the turtle beach PX51, there incredible, also there was way to many wires, I also looked up the problem on google and it took me to astro's website and I looked at the comments it was filled with the mic not...
as soon as i opened the package I noticed there ...

Summary: as soon as i opened the package I noticed there was a scuff on the aluminum on the microphone, I didnt think anything of it until i plugged it into my computer and the entire right ear cup speaker was not working at all PLEASE GET ANOTHER HEADSET if this thing costs so much why cant it be high quality enough to even work???
Summary: The headphones were great. Audio, quality, and comfortable. Now I list this as one star because their customer service is garbage. Also that replacement parts are almost impossible to get, basically rendering my headphones useless. They're always out of stock and it stayed that way for four years and still counting... Not going to buy another separate headset to replace one of my broken cables (I fell and it broke).
Summary: Astro provides some of the worst customer service you can imagine. My headset was two weeks out of warranty and the mixamp stopped working on me. Contacted Astro and they said I was SOL, the problem was an internal fault of the Mixamp (Hmm, known fault, extended warranty maybe?) and that there was nothing they could do to fix it.
Summary: Initially these would have gotten 4-5 stars. They were brilliant, but after about 1 to 2 months the sound changed. The mids seemed to overpowered and over-driven, while the highs and lows were nowhere as distinct. After contacting Astro about a fix, It was determined I needed to send them in. I am ok with that provided the turn around is fast and the parts being shipped were limited.
Summary: First off five stars for Amazon for quick refund time. On first opening the packing everything seemed in order. Refurbished security stickers were a nice touch. Then I put the headset on. The right ear cup was only attached to the headband by one of the screws, with the headband hole stripped. Opening the ear cups caused the device to somewhat fall apart. It looked like someone had tried fixing it with rubber cement. Either way there was something in there.
Summary: I liked the headset but the headband broke a couple months after purchase. They haven't fallen or been handled roughly, somehow still broke. Looked up on their site, this seems like a common fault. They also charge a fee to have them fixed. Wouldn't recommend this product.
