Summary: First off five stars for Amazon for quick refund time. On first opening the packing everything seemed in order. Refurbished security stickers were a nice touch. Then I put the headset on. The right ear cup was only attached to the headband by one of the screws, with the headband hole stripped. Opening the ear cups caused the device to somewhat fall apart. It looked like someone had tried fixing it with rubber cement. Either way there was something in there.
Summary: I liked the headset but the headband broke a couple months after purchase. They haven't fallen or been handled roughly, somehow still broke. Looked up on their site, this seems like a common fault. They also charge a fee to have them fixed. Wouldn't recommend this product.
Summary: I wanted to wait until I bought a brand new set of A40's before writing this review. I bought these refurbished ones 2 weeks ago and they were just absolutely horrible. The cord to the headset had to be twisted to exactly the right position to get sound from both speakers or else you would only get sound from the right or the left. The mic did not work at all. I tried putting the mic on both sides and neither side worked.

Summary: I bought the refurbished model due to some positive reviews here. The unit came with the original packing materials along with some red tape indicating it was "Factory Refurbished." It also included all of the cables. To be honest, I'm pretty grossed out by the amount of grime and gook on this thing. This headset has seen a lot of use. The fuzz on the earpads are worn down, there are bits of food and hair in the ear cups.
Don't Trust Astro, they take ur money, then ban you so for seeking repairs. NO warranty.

Summary: they deleted the account information off their website (ALL of them, they claimed) so they can lie to void any warranty I've "FWD" the confirmed email back to them repeatedly, they just refuse to acknowledge it, stating how they changed their online service,"moving forward with a clean slate". or in honest english to save profits by cheating customers from the warranty, "customer support ninja's" (when did ninja's become hired crooks?
Summary: Amazon was great shipped fast as usual and took care of getting me a replacement. As for Astro's "factory refurbished" A40s. The headset I got the right speaker didn't work. I messed with the inline cable and found I had to hold the cable going into the headset a certain way in order for the headset to play in the right speaker, if I let go the sound would go away. You would think Astro would try the headsets before they are labeled "refurbished".
Summary: I posted questions prior to purchasing these VERY expensive headphones and was told they would work on PS3 & 4. That was not true. I recently gave them to my grandson for a present (after the 30 days from purchase) and now I'm stuck with them.
Summary: I sent a report to customer service in Astro and this mic decides to work then not work by itself without me touching a single thing on the device. I got back a useless answer 2 weeks later which resolved nothing. This headset is garbage, so is the customer service.
