Summary: My wife seem's to like these even though they nearly blew out her ear drums when they were first hooked up. After several months of use the are finally not clamping her head as tightly anymore but I will say she complain's about their weight. I'd even have to agree with her that the weight after a few hours of use starts to get annoying. But the sound quality is really good.
Summary: It's weird getting use to hearing things behind me. Yup, these really do work. I'm not use to hearing things behind me when I put headphones on. These do it. Even the old analog Turtle Beach 5.1 headphones were not this directional. Those were really good too, but these are so much better! I mean seriously, the sense of audio coming from behind you is really apparent. It's kind of freaking me out.
Summary: Windows 8 owners do not despair! ARCTIC has a driver and these work great. There is true separation from the front to rear - quite useable in location of sound from front to rear. There is a center channel driver - it is very phase locked between earcups so a nice front and center image is produced. The bass is strong and there are game control like vibration devices for sub-bass rumble. The real question is how this can be done in this price range...
Budget headset - vibrant sound, but low quality mic
23 June 2014
Summary: This is an excellent budget headset. When purchasing you should keep in mind that you can't beat the quality for the price point, but that if you're willing to spend a lot more, there are better options. That being said, I'm very pleased with the sound quality. It's easy to fine tune the sound to find a nice mix that works well for the user. The mic isn't the best, but it gets the job done.
Summary: They sound good. I like the distinct surround sound they produce. The cups are small they sit ON the ear not OVER it, but that has not been a problem. The headband does not stay set where I had it when I take them off. Overall I say good headphones.
Summary: This headset has incredible sound. I bought it used, and I expected very little. However, it is very clear and the surround sound works wonderfully. It's really a great deal for the price. My only complaint is that, after a long period of wearing it, it begins to push uncomfortably on your ear and upper jaw, where it rests. Maybe I just have a big head, but I'm happy with taking it off for a few minutes every hour or two. The sound is definitely worth it.
Summary: The padding saves this USB Headphone from a lower rating. If I were designing this headphone I would shape the cups for the ears in the general shape of the human ear instead of a circle. Otherwise, they work as advertised.
Summary: These sound better then any headphones I've ever used for playing games. You can't beat the price for a true 5.1 head set. just make sure you configure them to 6 channel and 96000 studio and your good(found this in another review). Pros: Awesome sound, True 5.1 can't be found elsewhere for this price, software is useful and easy, and they work as hassle free as plugging your headphones into your mp3 or otherwise.
Summary: I'm no audiophile, but these sound great to me. Much better sound that my standard 2.1 speaker setup. PROS: - cable length - plenty of volume level adjustments (center, main, rear, front) - great voice quality on the microphone, had no issues with skype or use across gaming - return on investment: look, they are inexpensive; work and sound great CONS: - these get REALLY uncomfortable on my ears.
