Summary: I bought these despite the mixed reviews. I've not used Apple earphones in 7 or so years so I can't compare but I do have KitSound Euphoria's and SoundMagic E10's and these are just as good, if not better overall. The sound isn't tinny at all, it's clear and loud.
Summary: There is nothing I can recommend about these headphones. The bespoke in ear bugs are v uncomfortable, but most of all the sound level is v low. At top volume background noise overpowers what I'm listening to. So bad I have went back to my iphone ear phones.
Summary: These look, feel and sound cheap. They ARE cheap so that shouldn't come as a surprise. But in the £35-65 price bracket there are much better products available, such as the Nocs NS400-101 . Despite the better brand the AKGs are also seriously uncomfortable, for me at least.
Summary: I bought these AKG headphones for listening to music while I'm travelling. I have had headphones in the past that have good dynamic sound but then get too boomy after a while of constant use, consequently headaches and tiredness happens.
Summary: Now, my hearing isn't up to catching the nuances of quality and timbre that purists prattle on about; but I'm hearing things in the music I've listened to for years that I hadn't realised were there. These phones are great, well worth the investment.
Summary: I really don't know much about headphones but more about headsets; however this thing here is just a beast! I would buy this any day over any headset. I've had TB's, Logitech, Ozone and ect. To be honest if your looking for something portable + good quality I would buy AKG any day.
