Summary: I tried these with a Benchmark DAC1, a Fiio X3, a Fiio X1+E17 and various lesser devices including an iPhone. They seem pretty easy to drive. Music was a mixture of classical and Jazz - both CD quality and HiRes.
My value rating is based on the £107 I actually paid from Amazon. I am having to keep reminding myself how cheap they now are in order to give them much praise though.
Pros: Spacious - for closed back. Non-fatiguing, easy going sound. Work surprisingly well with iPhone.
Cons: No better than a reasonable £30 pair of open back 'phones.
Summary: Well, the infamous K550 was there. Big, comfort at an incredible price. I had to wait for one week before I got mine so I put it on.
Absolutely better than K701 I had a while ago. However, the overall quality is killed by zero presence of the bass. Where have they gone?
Maybe I have a freakish head, but I found these uncomfortable. Sound quality is great though.

Summary: Great sound but I found them singularly uncomfortable compared to Sennheiser 515/518s. The pads aren't deep enough for my ears (which I think are pretty normal!) so I felt the inner mesh on my ears which I could probably have got used to. The overhead band isn't padded enough. I have quite a wide head, I take a 62 bike helmet if that gives you any kind of idea, and that seemed to be pushing the headphones towards the limit of their flex.
Too Soft and Squishy - and that's not JUST the bass !

Summary: Ear cups ruin these. Far too soft as your ear is pretty much squashed up against the cup housing. The issue with getting a good seal for decent bass is certainly not exaggerated, so if you loosen off the headband, away goes the bass. Tighten it up, and crush yer lugs ! Sonically - just okay. unfortunately the bass was so lacking, and they were so uncomfortable, that anything else just didn't matter really. Not there best effort.
I love the design of these and really wanted them to ...

Summary: I love the design of these and really wanted them to be the headphones I am looking for, the price is good, they are really comfortable and well built, but unfortunately there area couple of problems which make them for me unsuitable. The soundstage did not not seems so wide, the sound feels like it is in my head, you need a perfect seal to get the bass which is not possible wearing glasses and the bass whilst going nice and low is not nearly enough to really satisfy,...
Summary: Considering their accolades they were a bit of a disappointment. I had had a pair before and sent them back because of their relative blandness (compared to 880s - which I bought instead) I wanted a pair of closed headphones and was persuaded to try them again and give them more time to burn-in. I did. 40+ hours of pink noise. They were still pretty uninspiring. Technically fine: transparent, good sound-stage but lacked rhythm and ...
Summary: what a great sounding set of headphones for those non spectacle wearing listeners. on first listening I could not believe that these headphones won the what hifi award for best in price range! then I removed my glasses and carefully placed the'cans' back in place ensuring a good 'seal' around the earpads. amazing difference ; extended bass , full bodied sound across the range , expressive and airy.
Honeymoon period over. Impressive and original quality sound but audio transients are too sharp and the bass is too light.

Summary: These headphones delivery a degree of detail which I haven't heard before in headphones (or speakers), and I've used many high-end ones over the years. You can hear every nuance in the recording and the separation between frequencies and sounds is incredibly distinct. I found the deliverance of sound to be quite unique and I could hear recordings separated in a way which I haven't heard before.
