Summary: Had it for about 2 years, can't really remember when exactly did I buy it.
but this one gives me a lot of frission everytime I listen to music
got me off the headphone market for about a year because of the satisfaction
it's over ear, but just the right size for portability in my opinion
Pros: portable, foldable, comfort cushion, just the right size
Summary: Physical sturdiness: I've had a good succession of mid-range headphones, these feel like they'll last me a while, unlike others. The cable is well fixed and protected (though it *could* be better) and they've got a nice metal strip with the AKG logo emblazoned on the headband. I'm not exactly careful with my things, I don't feel I need to be precious while handling these.
Summary: Bought these as my second pair of headphones. My first is the Sony MDR-V6 and they are amazing but i wish they had more bass. The K518 packs a lot more bass than the V6's but it doesn't overpower everything else like the Beats by Dr Dre. The clarity is good, you can hear the various instruments of whatever song you are listening to and the bass is deep, a little boomy at first but give them some time to burn in and it becomes tighter.
Summary: Sometimes it seems that it overdoes the low frequencies a bit almost just to cover the fact that the remaining frequencies are not of such a perfect quality. But hey, one of the main reasons I chose this is because my last headphones (or most headphones) barely had any bass, so cant complain much I guess. Plus, even still, the overall sound quality surpasses any headphone I've bought on my own within this price range.
Summary: These headphones have got good build quality and excellent sound. The bass is very strong. They are foldable so they won't take up much space, so they are comfortable for outside using and carrying in the pouch. I think the price is appropriate, I don't give 5 stars only because after a full year of VERY intense use, no music comes from the right earpad anymore. I'll get them fixed when I'll have some money to spend.
Summary: These head phones were a Christmas present for my son. He chose them because of the bass effect was recommended by friend as really good. My son was very please with this product when connected to his IPOD or his laptop. I had bought a pair of headphones myself, but a different make. Comparing mine against the AKG, my headphone were a dissappointment. The sound quality was nowhere near as good as the AKG head phones purchased from Amazon.
