Summary: These are MSRPed at $399 and sometimes sold at $349. I got it at amazon for $299. I got lucky.
I am really happy with these cans. The first thing I noticed was its beautiful finish and neat design. It's highly portable, designed with the a person who is constant on move in mind. It seems to me that AKG wanted to give great quality sound with noise cancellation and that's what they pretty much achieved.
Pros: Most neutral sound, great design built to last, rugged cables, comfortable cushions, ANC that works pretty well, Great quality even with ANC off
Cons: Heavy, On ear, not over ear, ANC on/off switch is painful, ANC not as good as Bose QC15 (IDK, according to reviews), Costly
Summary: This isn't going to be an extremely detailed review because I'm fairly inexperienced. I'm no Audiophile but I do appreciate good sound and clarity in my headphones. The K495's definitely offer outstanding clairty and SQ, especially in comparison to direct competitors such as Bose, HK, PSB.
These are BEAUTIFUL headphones. The design is sturdy and svelte at the same time. Leather wraps the headband and covers the exterier of the cups.
Pros: Build Quality and Aesthetics, Sound Quality - Very natural and robust, Noise Cancellation on par or better than Competitors while keeping audio clean
Cons: Some discomfort from pressure on upper ear after extended listening (4+ hours), NC can make lows overpowering at times, soundstage could be better
convenience when wearing for a long time and the noise cancelling is by far better. Can only recommend them

Summary: Wow these clearly beat the Bose Silent Comforts in sound quality, material quality, convenience when wearing for a long time and the noise cancelling is by far better. Can only recommend them.
Summary: Fantastic premium quality product with sublime sonics - I tried these on along with many other brands in a famous department store in London and I knew I just I had to have them. Amazon had them at a ridiculously low price so that's where I spent my money. Money well spent. Construction is top notch and sound is awesome. Very comfortable and comes with 2 different sized lengths of cable.
Summary: I was in the market for a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones for a while before discovering these AKGs. I hadn't heard of AKG as a brand, but they're apparently widely used in the recording studio market, and are part of Harman/Kardon who are a high-end name. I was very strongly considering the ubiquitous Bose QCs, however I was concerned about the plasticky feel of them, plus I'm not really a fan of the Bose styling.
Summary: With very few reviews out there I was scepticle to say the least, I needed a pair of headphones that I could use at home and also on the move. The AKG K495's are built extremely well with a good quality feel to them. They can be charged via a USB port which lasts in experience upto about 34 hours at a reasonable volume. Un like other noise cancelling headphones, these work without the mode engaged, although at a cost of loosing some bass response. They sound amazing!
