Summary: The AKG K541 headphones are ideal for my lifestyle. The K451's have fantastic sound quality that hits down to 20Hz. The sound quality is balanced and precise. These headphones are portable and fold down and fit snugly in a travel case. The cord is secure locking and will not pull out of the headphones like many other headphones on the market.
Summary: Considering the poor review level here I felt I had to post a review:
I spent some time checking reviews of these AKG K451 headphones, and found conflicting comments. What I can do is confirm that What Hifi (who awarded these a best buy in 2014) were right, these are excellent headphones even straight out of the box with no burn in time. My requirements were for a compact set of 'on-ear' folding headphones.
Pros: Compact, solid build, carry case included, cable can be replaced, single sided cable, easy to live with sound, good bass response
Cons: Can become uncomfortable after long periods, lacks a little sparkle
Summary: Probably the best phones on the market at this price. Superb sound, lightweight and very comfortable. The extra lead with without the silly volume control sounds much better after finding the volume control problematic, how thoughtful to add this to the package. Great storage case too. Beautifully constructed, simply the best phones I have ever had. Use a good sound source, not a silly iphone to get the best from them.
Summary: Purchased a set from the Guildford branch based on previous reviews...first "run" with an IPod was "well, they do what they say on the tin",so although pleased, was not overwhelmed.However....after a few hours burn in,and listening to my P.C stored hi-res files via a Dacmagic, all I can say is "wow".Get some whilst they are still out there!
Great Quality and Great Sounds for a No Brainer Price!

Summary: Only had these a few days but already these headphones are amazing...for £50 they are a total steal. I also have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears but wanted something a tad more compact to keep in my bag for travelling etc hence the purchase of these. To he totally honest these are at least the equal if not a tad better sounding than my Momentum's....they certainly do seem to be able to be driven a bit louder through my iPhone 6.

Summary: Two years on and I am still more than happy with my purchase. I've tried many, many other headphones since purchasing these and I have not once considered buying a new pair. These headphones have also survived to tours of Afghanistan and look as good as new. The case is also very sturdy. Overall a very good product that I am very happy with.
I was looking for a good quality headset at a reasonable price

Summary: I was looking for a good quality headset at a reasonable price, primarily to use on aircraft but also with my Samsung Tablet, & other ad hoc use. It certainly ticks all the boxes - Quality is good, the soft ear pads are very good & they are very competitively priced. Being new to some of the 'modern' technology, I didn't realise that when it said '* Remote control and microphone supported by ....' it means it is NOT supported by other devices e.g.
Summary: These headphones are great they are extremely comfortable to wear and I would recommend them to my friends. They arrived packed well and the price was good. Both my husband and I have the same sets and when we go abroad they are so comfortable instead of using the little ones that they give you to use on the airlines.
High-Performance indeed - Highly recommend getting a pair

Summary: Absolutely brilliant headset. The sound quality is amazing, especially when listening to HQ music. It folds up to a decent size and in all honesty, I've been fairly rough with mine but after several months, it's doing great. It also comes with 2 headphone jack cables (the cable can be disconnected from the headset for storage), one of which has an in-line mic and IPod controls.
Summary: Nicely constructed and have a feel of quality. Comfortable on the head. The cables feel a little flimsy though if you need replacements they are readily available. Nice carry case included. The sound? Well, best to describe it as accurate. These headphones will lay bare the actual quality of your source music. Nearly everybody buying these headphones will be connecting them to lossy format sources, i.e..
